thank you for making this! 🌻 the songs you picked (especially the many "beautiful xyz" tracks) always conjure this feeling of chilling and trying to feel a sense of normalcy while the world is anything but normal and calm. very needed rn, lol. and the investigation themes are great for focusing!
Honestly, I don't know what about the danganronpa series has absolutely had me charmed for a good long while now, but I can't even say that I can pin it down to one thing. It's just like, something you can't stand to see out of the stuff you like. Something that brings it all together into something wonderful. Something hopeful, something nice, something that with all it's rough edges, only pulls you closer into it and makes you want to just hug it some more. I could probably ramble on and on and on about what about this series makes itself great, but to just start with the best one, would be best just because, I think even the soundtrack gets it across pretty well in the first place. Just the hope it brings to any situation it likes to challenge itself in from the very start of it. Hope vs. Despair, Stagnation vs. Growth, Lies Vs. Truth. Honestly, it always makes me happy that the final trial of each game is just the best it could ever be. Something that just brings it home as to what each game is about, and how that can help you process all the things that may be going through your own life. Not speaking of my own, given that each game holds a candle to me, personally, but that's besides the point. I just, I just can't imagine a game series like this that could pull itself all that well with handling topics that deserve serious consideration. Things that most people don't wanna talk about, or just don't get. Even people who are into things that are into talking things deeply don't seem to get the feeling that Danganronpa can get across. Sure there can be darker games, games that have better stories, or even ones that could have better gameplay. But none can really mix it all together as to what Danganronpa does. Where even the supposed faults of each game can only draw you into it even more just on the fact alone it knows what it is, and is more interested in telling a good story above all else. Characters that inspire, to motivate, to make you laugh, to cry, to stand above it all as you just want to find out more about them and just see the conclusion as to what their story is. In death, or whatever comes after. It just, helps. It just takes a long look at what life can offer, and gives you a tool to help with it all. Even makes you laugh all the while it's telling you how to get better at it, and just to believe in yourself. The ending to the fourth game in the series is just, something that I think I should hold more dear to myself, something to just find that I need to believe the "lie" that I am fine and that I can just write whatever I want. Because even if there's a whole bunch of facts and truths about the opposite being true. This lie gives me the bit of hope that I can just be happy writing, to do what I want, and that I deserve better. And if I can make that lie a truth, then I'll be much better for it. Sometimes it just easier to think something is a lie, than always listening the truth because, life isn't that simple. You can't just raw dog it 100 percent of the time. Sometimes, you just need a little bit of fun, to twist things around and dip into other things to keep life interesting. And if that means someone else gets to see this and think their own story about me, then fine. But, I'm, I'm still going to try. I'm still going to try every day to do better and become the person I need to be just to even be happy with life. I hope other people out there get to dip themselves into this wonderful series, to understand what it even means in the first place to face a despair without a face, and still come out on top. I hope people understand that it isn't about just being the best about what they THINK they can do, it's about doing your best with what you KNOW you can do. Among some other things. But, I, I hope you all relax and have some fun with this. It was just some rambles from myself given things going on in life at the moment. Please do take care and just keep on chugging along. Even danganronpa knows you can get sick of it and need to move on to other things, so have fun. that's really just the point of it all, right?
As someone who got into the series about two years ago, I know what you're talking about. When I got into the series, I was enamored by the story, characters, and of course, as the video may tell you, the music. I love the fact that each game has its own vibe. I got into the series with a friend, and we spent a lot of time discussing and watching the series. Theirs just something so intriguing about the series. We ended up spending a lot of time talking about our favorite characters, favorite songs, moments, and what could have been.
