This projector is a lumen canon but contrast is poor compared to ust laser projector so it should be used with a negative gain screen to get it better. Colors on xgimi are more saturated.

Good review. Is it true 4k or using some sort of pixel shift? You also said it's big.. it's tiny compared to the other 4k projectors I've seen

Definitely PixelShifting. Do not expect true 4K for this price in next few years.

the danbei is one of the few projectors in this price range that actually does NOT use pixel shift. it is true native 4k

We know, for the projector, the brightness is the most important feature. With the high brightness will display the wonderful picture. And use the 4K UHD DLP Tec. I think Dangbei Mars Pro will be welcomed smart Android projector by user at the moment. High brightness,4K,Intelligent algorithms(Auto focus,Auto keystone correction)... The projector came from XGIMI, Anker. No product can compete with Mars Pro at the moment. 😄

Not really. If you buy a projector to use it in a bright room environment, you are better to just buy a tv. If you are using it as it is meant to be, in a dark cinema environment, a low 2000 lumens and some even lower than that are better. Those tens of thousands true 4k cinema projector have low lumens. Its the contrast and sharpness that is important.

I’ve had some problems getting my phone to cast, but it may just be my internet. Overall it has beautiful picture and great sound. **Note that it doesn’t come with the little stand as shown in the picture.

I bought one in June, and liked it very much until today. After update the system software, I can no longer to get any content from the internet. XGIMI projectors deliver a crystal clear image yet with excellent brightness, perfect home projector in my opinion.

I've had the Dangbei Mars Pro 4K for 2 weeks now. I'm getting severe image smearing in low contrast, low light to dark scenes. I didn't notice anything like this in bright or normal lighting scenes but as soon as darker scenes came up everything was getting mushy. I hope that a software update will fix this. Outside of these conditions, the projector was sharp and bright. @@Mile19825 fair enough, though I understood native as just meaning there’s no downscaling. So if you send a 4K signal and get 1080p out, it’s still 1080p native, it just knows how to interpret a higher resolution input.
