Pack on plane has higher chance to turn on, as cargo get thrown around and bump into other luggage and get turned on easily. But even pack away in backpack even carefully packed I have zhiyun fiveray M20 and aputure MC lights turn on on them selfs in my backpack so the bigger lights with even bigger buttons can turn on easily. And more often need to place bag overhead often you may be careful but other traveler will try stuff their bags in the overhead and not careful with your bag.
