I am so impressed with how fabulous Van looks and sounds in the year 2022!! It's like he reinvented himself and stopped aging, which is just awesome!! I sense he has found some happiness and contentment! I love him and this is a great performance! I love the peach/ salmon colored suit.
He's never changed- never reinvented himself. He's barley taken a pause from touring or writing. We all age but some voices are fortunate to last longer in their range or throat. He lost weight and got a bright updated wardrobe and continues to do what he's done for 60+ years- write, sing, tour and try his best to lead a private life and not let anyone pigeonhole him. A few left out there- Bob, Paul, JT. Van's voice is still steady, powerful consistent and beautiful. He's recent CDs are also very good with great songs. He's more R+B in his arrangements and adding the two horns on current gigs is so perfect. Van is a brilliant arranger and adds an instrument to songs just at the right time (like a fiddle, or flute, or clarinet, or pedal steel or percussion). Never reinvented. Peace and merry holiday to another Van the Man fan.
@@lfitzgerald0624 I am well aware of his work and to me it looks as if he has definitely done something different to himself/ for himself, he isn't the same, he is a happier person and it shows and of course then his voice and musical abilities are still top notch. It's all very impressive as he has done from the start of my being a fan.
Vegas version was great. He turns a Covid protest song into a great R&B multi instrumental song and never mentions Covid except for Boris Johnson and Party Gate but writes other pointed lyrics. Though I disagree with Sir Van, he still turned out a great tune that I can enjoy and dance to .You are unique. Pretending is also another great song on the album. 😊❤☘️
Great comment! I happen to pretty much be on the same page as Van Morrison with regards to the so-called pandemic , a financial coup d'etat by the likes of BlackRock. But I appreciate your joy in the music and soul of the performance. Such openness is what's needed in the world it seems.
@@jameshogg1294 Hi James- I wasn’t concerned about the $- millions apparently ? earned from your POV- millions globally died from this SARS Covid-19. And millions like me are all boosted up and protect from hospitalization and or death. Van was protected from polio and other virus immunization protections in his youth and that’s just modern science and there will always be bad greedy creepy immoral investors (sharks) out there- our Civil War and America Revolutionary War as an example- the Rhett Butler types. Vac Shots and science saved the planet earth from destruction. But I still love Sir Van’s music and voice and lyrics but he sounds like an antiquated stubborn old fashioned Irishman like probably a few of my kin from the the 1900’s. I saw him again in Saratoga-? thats 3 times this year. ✌🏻☘️💁🏼

He saw and understood the lie the politicians and media were spinning and since many were driven to a point of despair you had to find a way to cope music was one and thank God for those veteran comedians taking the piss out of everyone and everything I just wish this recording wasn't done on a mobile phone
