This marks the end of the Top Gun DLC, but I'm not gonna lie, this got me hooked on this game again. We have a busy week of game announcements/trailers/releases (The Quarry 😬), but if you want to see more Flight Sim soon, let me know! Would love to do some jet free roam, perfect our carrier landings, and check out some of the modded planes that we've never seen in the game. Let me know!
This DLC is epic! Them using the Top Gun theme song when you start each stage just makes it feel even more epic, lol. I love this DLC and I can't even play it, sad face. (my PC is an ancient potato compared to Trev's; I'm definitely looking to upgrade when AM5 comes out soon)
Hey trev! there is no specific g force at which you black out, but sustained high g force that you enter in relatively smoothly will eventually do it, likewise, a massive yank on the stick, especially at higher speeds will do it as well. most of this video you don't even get close, there will be a graying of vision first, then a slow blackout, its not really instant unless you just yank it like you did once here. cheers!
I always get mad that you don't do maneuvers with fighter jets but after seeing this, I now understand why you don't do maneuvers.. I don't think I'll ever be watching these videos again.
Blackout, or g-LOC, can occur when an untrained person experiences 4-6 g of force, especially if it's sudden. This is because the force causes blood to shift away from the brain and towards other parts of the body, reducing the brain's oxygen supply
I used to live near a fighter jet training route in the UK they used to fly low along the river/glacial valley, hop over the ridge and target the village church, if you where on the ridge you use to be at eye level or above the pilots which was cool.
Flown like a true XBOX gamer. You got a flight stick. Put on your big boy pants and fly from the cockpit the entire way. You make a great commercial for arcade revival.
Listen @TmarTn2, the fact that you have a legendary piece of music, "The Top Gun: Anthem" from Top Gun in 1986 and Top Gun: MAVERICK in 2022 is an awesome way to start your videos, remember Trev, "Don't think. Just DO."
23:30 I think in that part you could have done it with the engines idle, at least for a few moments to allow you to slow down, then make an inverted turn and slowly go down the hill (allowing you to maintain speed with the energy in a dive by at least 10 °), and then slowly or moderately recover to level up so as not to become unconscious in that area and be almost at the ground level. Since it is about handling the plane not only at its full capacity, but handling the plane assertively at different points on the hills. Therefore, do not make sharp turns when you are at such high speeds because this will render the pilot unconscious. Be careful, you can force it, but it is a matter of practice to what extent you can force the turn.
Just got home from watching the movie. Watching this DLC was one big push to go see it and it was AWESOME!!! Many call backs to the first movie and the climax was so poetic!
I finally got to watch Maverick the other day (its on netflix now) and it was as awesome as I had hoped. I have wanted to play MS flight sim since it came out but alas... no pc or console, so im here to enjoy Trevs gameplay vids. Forgot how stunning this sim is.
I saw the new movie yesterday. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. It was the first time I was ever tense and emotional for a movie. I was even getting the chills. Great experience.
Hey Trev! Awesome video as always, brings smiles to my face :D I really want you to continue the series and keep on bringing videos of MSFS! No matter what, I and probably many others will watch them!
Hahaha you kept jumping up and down with the Gforces so much, I'm surprised you only passed out/crashes a couple times. I mean, you easily could have shattered all your bones while doing that🤣this game is not really my jam, but your enthusiasm is awesome and makes me keep coming back✌🏾🦖
Same lol He was like “Why am I passing out so much” when he was going straight through a canyon and was upside down for no reason with the throttle on lol
Watching this reminds me of a jet that hit the mountain in Virginia near my house years ago… they rip through the valley an one didn’t clear the ridge you can still find parts of the plane
With the F-18 and these challenges in particular, if you think back to that cloud run challenge, that is the quickest way to descend if you go too high.
I've watched all your TG:M DLC vids. You're pretty entertaining. However, all through these videos, I couldn't help but think: "This guy looks like Lt. Robert 'BOB' Floyd from the film." xD
Yup, he is using it when he shouldn't be and not using it when it would help. That is the issue with the rudder being the twist of the joystick. I gained so much more control when I got my rudder pedals.
Amazing playthrough! Anything specific: Maybe we could continue flying to different locations like you used to, start up a part 24? I love to see flights around different places you do as I get to learn a bit more and fly there myself, so very excited to see that! Any location is just fine with me; I like seeing new places!
Well in mavericks words for the first dLc Maverick: you took to long fighters have already intercepted you and your dead Me: but great dLcs video I hope to get the game my self one day
The Top Gun: Maverick maneuvers are nothing for an average aviator can do. As you need to stay as low as possible and knowing how to fly in cockpit view. And knowing common Air Force maneuvers.
If I'm correct, 7 is the typical but some people I know have pulled 10 to 11 and they pretty much blacked out, so I think it depends on experience and handling
LOVE ur Vid on MSFS ,, Just Got Mine, A Pilot myself and ur Help is Awesome !, TY, Pelican,Concorde,F-18,Darkstar ,, Huge Help 😅 Ty,Ty,Ty , U Rock and Fun to Watch U Fly and Crash !! 😂
10 G is the maximum a pilot can take. depends on their body constitution at that point... absolute black out are at 12G, you get there, its a black out for sure.
You should do a couple of videos on bush planes, float planes, and bush planes with skies. it’s just an idea but ya you should do more Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Hey trev, in the movie where they shot the snow scenes, I live 10 minutes away from where it was shot. I remember seeing a helo and a couple jets being towed on a truck and being like I wonder what that is for. Little did I know it was for the best movie this year.
As a United States Air Force fighter pilot there’s no way in hell you should be that close to the water you were drowning that General Electric Turbofan engine The engine is going to die
