Fella with the gun seems to have forgotten a crucial safety rule - never point it at anything you're not prepared to kill. When he's showing it off at the beginning, the muzzle does not -appear- to be kept away from the mule he's on. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it looks.

Over forty years, that is one of the nastiest bits we have seen used on a mule. You can twll that the mule doesn't like it either.. Hasn't stopped mouthing it the whole trip. At least the roan has a decent bit.on it.
