With over 12 known cold cases in the area, Doug Bishop and Jacob Grubbs are back a year later to continue a more detailed search in Sims Bayou (near Houston, TX) where Jared had previously discovered multiple vehicles but was unable to mark them due to a severe ice storm.
With rain, cold temperatures and dangers lurking beneath the water Doug, Jacob and the team were able to find and locate 13 vehicles and notify authorities for removal.
This video documents Adventures With Purpose's search for vehicles underwater using sonar and clues left behind with an emphasis on the AWP's 5-mile search strategy.
- Where were they last seen?
- Where did they live?
- Where did they work?
- Where did they go to school?

Does anybody else cry at the intro when they show who they have brought home? You have people who thought that this was their only way out of their life situation. You also have the people who were innocently taken from this earth either by foul play or by a freak accident. I have 3 kids of my own so seeing the names and faces of people who have been found, crushes my heart. It's a bittersweet heartache 💙🙏. God bless this team

Sad thing is that waters will continue to be good dumping grounds because you rarely ever can see the cars from the surface and you see the work, knowledge, time,money and on and on and on to find these cars.... Sadly, recovering cars under water doesn't get much of the city, county, etc. budget !

Echo, You need equipment and towing vehicles to pull these submerged cars out. Look at the rate of inflation and tell me the average person can buy a sonar and a boat and hire the strongest tows and all the bits and pieces to go into it. Even by crowdsourcing. We pay taxes that are supposed to go into maintaining our infrastructure, so yes that absolutely covers dredging up cars to lower the water lines.
@spiralrose

Love what you all are doing here. Would love to be apart of something meaningful as what you’ve build together. I kinda shocked myself when instantly starting to cry during the intro. Seeing beautiful Kiely added to the cases solved was heavy. Every family every victim matters. Kiely being such a recent and heavily covered case, so young, such a tragic ending... “this is what it’s all about” the words Doug said to Nick after confirming they found her rung in my ears. Being a Jersey girl I of course love going down the shore an the beach / ocean. But there's not much visibility... I prefer to swim on the southern coast of Maine ( My grandma and later my father retired there) The water is obnoxiously cold but the water is crystal clear!
