This is one of the best thunderstorm videos on RU-vid.... here in England,we do get powerful storms like this one... Usually hitting us in the early hours of the morning. During the summer months...I have no idea how many times I have watched this Frankie, but its awesome with headphones on....all the best... stay safe.
I've seen a good few thunderstorm videos on YT and this one is particularly impressive and terrifying. Some of those bolts of lightning look like they could blow up a house.
Be careful what you wish for Mark. I originate from Yorkshire. I get a kick out of heavy thunderstorms. When I was in the RAF I was on Lightnings!! I am now retired & live in Bangkok, Thailand. The hot season here is March until the end of May. Practically every day the temp reaches the high 30’s C. As the hot season ends the monsoon season starts. We seem protected from the tropical cyclones & typhoons because it hits other countries first, which takes the sting out of it but the pay off is heavy, violent thunderstorms with flash flooding. Almost every day I hear it in the distance & before I have shut down my PC, closed the doors to my veranda & French windows in my on suite; it becomes as dark as night, then all hell is let loose. Power lines are overhead & if lightning hits them it is bye bye PC. I take a lot of scaring but I can feel the noise & nothing would get me outside with a camera.
Spectacular storm. We used to get storms of that intensity up here in Southern Ontario but we haven't had anything like that in about 10 years or more. Nice capture
@@wng689 Haha where I am now, seems to get "zero-mile" lightning strikes often! But there seemed to be no damage to equipment out on the road in front of our house as of now.
Impressive and extreme lightning indeed. Sadly, here in The Netherlands, we don't have extreme lightning like this. Still, I hope we get some good lightning and thunder this summer.
I've had the pleasure of a pretty intense series of storms there, back in 2015 at the end of August. We were staying in Kerkwijk at the time. Started at about 9.30pm and carried on until past 2am, the system rolled through N France into Holland and then into Germany.
This deserves a lot more views than what it's at the moment, just an absolute beast of a thunderstorm and none stop thunder and lightning, must of absolutely heaved it down after the video ended 👌
The best videos are filmed from a tripod, then just walked away from, not panning, no moving, no narration. All of that takes you out of the experience.. Just recommendations...
I grew up in Northern New York State. One day my dad sister and I were barbecuing chicken on wood outside when a tornadic thunderstorm moved in. Big green ugly Squall line and close lightning strikes. My dad went in his garage and put a glass window frame on a couple of sawhorses to quickly make a table. We rushed the chicken and the salad into his garage and stood up eating watching it rain torrentially while Thunder shook the ground. That chicken tasted great!

I’ve had a massive sqaull line of storms and it was more bad than this it was a lightning storm then last week a hail storm happen almost golf ball sized in Utah salt lake

He lives in Oklahoma City or somewhere in Texas; I'm not sure which at this particular time. Have you ever seen any of his videos or the series "Storm Chasers" from The Learning Channel?

About 4 days ago, in my area, we had 2 severe thunderstorms in a day. One at 7PM, and another at 11PM. BOTH were likely for tornadoes, but both luckily did not formed tornadoes!!!! So it was pretty scary!!!!
Guy starts to talk about the storm then all the sudden the storm blows it's fuse while me is watching this goes get inside I can barely breath watching this I can feel the guts uneasyness and dispair

Damn I wish you would have kept filming.. When the lightning strikes n there's a crack of thunder immediately afterwards, that means it's right over head.. I guess you were right to go in but, I wish you could have found some place to hide and keep filming.. Thank you for the great footage and probably the best thunder I've heard anyway.. Sorry for such a late reply. I updated my system’s algorithm and so did RU-vid before hand. So I end up reuploading these videos after the sound and video quality has been edited to suit users. Didn’t do it to all my videos, but quite a few. You’ll notice that I still have my first videos from 13 years ago! I’ve never had RU-vid take down any videos. There’s a few storms where I got VERY anxious and nervous and was cussing a LOT. I literally thought I was gonna die… it was like a tornado, definitely green as green can get with 75 mph winds and large hail that you couldn’t even see but you can hear it! Very powerful electrical storm. Thunderstorm with baseball size hail, heavy rain, high winds, lots of CGs! That greenish area is where the most intense thunder and lightning, torrential rain, high winds, and large hail.
@@aidenhawkins6070 or it means the cloud is very tall and could mean a tornado is present as well. It could mean anything. Mainly occurs in evening storms by sunset time. I wonder if this storm was in the evening as it passes him close.
It's 2024 and if anyone that knows super cells . Frankie this i come back to several times a year one of the best caught on video others could take hints on how to film a storm. Frankie you did it my friend on this one best one on RU-vid!!!!!
