This is not about buying fuel from dangote, fuel that was 655 naira after subsidy was removed, jump to 1,300 naira when dangote realease fuel into the market. Dangote, is just as CURRUPT as the rest of this politician. Nigerians currently buy fuel higher in pump price than the united state. 1,300 naira per liter. 4 litre make up a gallon. The united state, Texas to be a exact fuel is $2.65 per gallon. Remember 4 litre make up a gallon, I suggest you do the math you will realize they are all CURRUPT including dangote.
$2.65/4 = $0.6625 per litre. 0.6625 × 1650 dollar rate = ₦1,093 per litre. Does this amount not reflect the current retail price of fuel? Or is there something I'm missing?
In fact 1 gallon is 3.785 litres. 2.65 ÷ 3.785 =$ 0.7. $0.7 × 1650 = ₦1,155 per litre. Petrol is sold for less than this in Lagos. The cost of importing fuel is more expensive than the price Dangote sells at. It's simple business, if Dangote sells fuel at a price more expensive than what importation costs, no one will buy from him.
@@larryomotolaThe fuel pump price in Edo State currently from what I purchased is 1,367 naira and some kobo. NNPC might have place it on 1,035, but other state are selling on a high price. Compare both minimum wage of the United States and Nigeria...... Nigerians are paying too much for fuel.
@@larryomotolaMr. Larry the price of fuel in Edo State is 1,367 naira and some kobo. Compare both economy and minimum wage we shouldn't be paying such amounts sir. And I don't support importation of some unscrupulous elements trying to undermine local businesses of Nigeria.
@@kenoma1221 Fuel is sold at different prices in Nigeria because of the extra cost it takes to transport it to those states. Lagos is the cheapest because that's where the refining/importation takes place. I agree that compared to the minimum wage, fuel is expensive. Then let's face the issue of minimum wage not that Dangote is being corrupt. Dangote is a businessman. He can't sell for less than cost. What he's doing with his refinery should even help us because if importation of fuel stops, the demand of FX reduces which should in turn boost the Naira. I really hope that happens!
