Dangote Steel Production Game-Changer for Africa's Economy! - Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, isn't just wealthy - he's a master of spotting opportunities and turning them into business empires. Now, his sights are set on the steel industry.
Aliko Dangote, founder of the Dangote Group and Africa's richest man, has announced ambitious plans to launch a steel production company. Speaking at the Afreximbank Annual Meetings and AfriCaribbean Trade & Investment Forum in Nassau, he highlighted this significant development.
Aliko Dangote champions self-reliance and domestic investment as key drivers of Africa's economic development. He asserts that greatness cannot be brought to the continent by foreigners; it must come from within. According to Dangote, domestic investment is crucial because it sets the foundation for attracting foreign investment.
"We want to make sure every single steel that we use will come from Nigeria. What I keep telling people is that, look, we as Africans, please, don’t be deceived, no foreigner can come and make your continent great. It must be the domestic investors. Because domestic investment is what actually attracts foreign investment,” he said.

We need to support him and his businesses, political leaders are failing so the private sector can build Africa. We need his products to reach as far as here in South Africa ✊🏿

Obasanjo help Dangote start Obajana cement factory. Buhari helped him to start and complete the 650,000bpd refinaries in Lagos with the help of Tinubu. Jonathan refused to grant him the licence to start this same 650,000bpd refinaries in Ogun state, 4years earlier.

@samsonadeyemi2169 15 дней назад
Let's solve our energy problems first, that's one of the most important bedrock, then reform the educational system. Chip making is energy intensive and needs skilled technicians. Neglecting the energy sector and jump to chip making and aeronautics is jumping to achieve an impossible goal
@eeudoh01
@eeudoh01 15 дней назад
@@samsonadeyemi2169 Thanks for your feedback. Nigeria missed the first, second and third Industrial revolutions, so we must not miss this fourth one. Dangote’s refinery consumes a lot of energy and has its own power plant. There is nothing that prevents the same for the chip-industry. Nigeria should not be left behind again in this 4th revolution and should make its foray into chip and aeronautical fields. You just have to start somewhere, especially knowing that Nigeria can tap the ingenuity of our scientists and engineers living abroad!
@samsonadeyemi2169
@samsonadeyemi2169 15 дней назад
@@eeudoh01 I'm not saying we shouldn't start making chips, all I'm saying is we must solve the most important part that will spur chip making. We can't expect every new country to build their own power plant, not every company can bear the brunt of double the original capital. The government must push the private sector to invest in energy. Once this is done, I believe in the ingenuities of nigerians, we will not only be partakers in the 4th and 5th industrial revolution, but we will also be pioneers in the 6th

It's a big shame to us, and we can never contribute anything to the world's economy 😔 . That's why we are being treated as slaves everywhere we find ourselves.

0:43 " .. he asserts that 'Greatness', cannot be brought to the Continent by foreigners. IT MUST COME FROM WITHIN .. " ~ Aliko Dangote .. This is not only true. But if people can't wrap their minds around this idea, then lets reverse it. Think of any African Nation having the ability to settle, occupy, develop, destroy, plunder their lands and environments and .. best of all, give very little to nothing to the Peoples of that land?? Would NEVER happen. Would never happen. NEVER. It is not even a thought!! .. "What's good for the 'Goose', is good for the Gander" is what they say. Right?

@ebukandefoh8800 Is Dangote preventing anybody from getting into these businesses? Cement? Dangote is not alone; BUA and other players operate in this sector. Rice? Dangote is not the only in the sector; several operators in this sector; even Lagos state has a stake (rice processing plant) greater than Dangote's in this sector. Tomato, same thing. Refinery, nobody is being prevented from building a refinery. As a matter of fact, many refineries are being built by serious and capable investors, including states. I could go on and on. So where is the monopoly? Please stop being blinded by your hatred for this great African man.
