I was Catholic for over 40 years and all I learned was guilt and fear and shame and condemnation.. I still struggle with my walk because I don't understand it all. All I want to hear is "Well done good and faithful servant". I have NO support system in my life and have a hard time understanding the Bible sometimes

You are right on many levels regarding alcohol, I would just add a few things. You are right that wine with alcohol itself is not a sinful object, just like a gun sitting by itself is not a sinful object. The object becomes sinful when a man uses it to sin. Many fundamental preachers lose their mind when they think that Jesus drank wine with alcohol, but He did. The process was to ferment wine and mix it with water to make a refreshing drink, the alcohol neutralizing some of the bacteria in the drinking water. Here is the point that I would add: The reason why you don't put new wine into old wine skins is that freshly harvested grape juice begins to rot immediately after it is squeezed. The process of rotting (or fermenting) will cause the wine skin to bloat up and fill with air. If the wineskin is old, it will burst. This process begins immediately after the grape is squeezed, therefore, new wine begins to form alcohol very very quickly. Welch's grape juice is filled with so many preservatives, that it doesn't ferment. Other natural grape juice requires refridgeration which kills the bacteria which breaks down the sugar, causing the creation of alcohol. Christ drank alcohol. Fundamental preachers would be better arguing the point that Christ was able to drink wine with alcohol and be be sinless, rather than to cover it up like a democrat congressman covering up their involvement in the woke mind virus. Thank you for preaching the truth as you read it from our blessed book. I preach against alcohol because I work in addiction ministry and I have seen the damage done from alcohol. I don't recommend alcohol to anyone. Maybe when Christ comes, our glorified bodies will allow us to drink wine in perfect moderation.

After I fully understood the gospel of Christ and Jesus has done it all and I can rest in Him by knowing I am saved by grace through faith and I will never lose my salvation is when God has opened my eyes to see the pre rapture of the church all through the Bible and it's beautiful!!

I have tried really hard to just focus on Gods word through all the chaos of the world and it has helped relieve a lot of stress for me personally. God is in control of everything. I don't need to stress about cost of living, our country, Israel, etc. because God is in control of it all. Yes you should care and still pray for guidance/help/wisdom/country/Israel but it shouldn't consume you as a Christian. Our Hope is in Christ Jesus the risen savior. This is not my home, heaven is my home and what my soul longs for.

***Brother Breaker*** If new wine is what we call grape juice, then how can one be drunk from it??? Acts 2:13 reads, “Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.” And Peter rebukes the scoffers in verse 15 saying, “For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.” There is no way the disciples could have been drunk with new wine BECAUSE The Feast of New Wine had not yet begun as it was only the 3rd hour (approximately 9 AM) when this occurred. Here’s the bottom line: new wine is fermented, BUT has a lower alcohol content than “strong drink “ which has been fermented longer. One can still get drunk on new wine-just like today most beers have around 4-5% alcohol, wines up to around 15% and liquors are stronger still. Please reconsider your position on this, brother.

Since I've been recently saved its been so much harder to not sin, i know and believe firmly that I'm saved by my Faith in the Blood of Christ, but i still have sins that i struggle with for years since i was young, what should i do with repetitive sins? i try to stop and i go for quite some time away from certain sin(s), but then for some reason even on a wonderful day i fail and fall to sin and i ask the Lord to forgive me and ask for strength and discipline but then not too long afterward its like i grow weaker and weaker and fail again even though i don't want to, and i always feel disgusted of myself and feel the Lord and Holy Spirit Grieve painfully and even though i don't show it, inside I'm hurting and screaming inside, i know trying to do things alone wont help, or being non social with fellow believers to help me fight these battles, its why i always call on the Lord for help, but i keep letting Him down.. and i feel so ashamed and dirty.. what should i do? i don't want the Lord to think I'm taking my salvation and His Gift and Grace for granted..

Every time I ask this question people accuse me of being a troll or give me a convoluted answer. When we die and go to heaven will we remember our UNSAVED friends and family? I had a friend who was closer than my family members. Unfortunately we were staunch athiests who flirted with satanism. I moved away got clean and got saved while reading the Left Behind series. My friend became an expert at cooking mind altering substances went to prison and d*ed at 33 from liver failure. On one hand remembering my friend makes me smile but then I remember he was NOT saved and it saddens me that I never got to share the gospel with him.

Question about new wine: Why did the pharasees accuse the apostles of being drunk on new wine? Acts 2:13

I'm not a big drinker but i do believe wine in the Bible was fermented. Why else would the guest at the party say "wow most ppl bring out the cheap stuff at the end but you've reserved the best". That's bc once people are relaxed and tipsy their palette for what is considered good wine isnt as sharp. Natural made wine often has half the alcohol and sugar content of modern wine, and i would guess the wine in the Bible was not as bad for us as today's wines are.

The wedding feast at Caina of Galelie mentions people getting drunk on wine and Jesus made wine for the wedding feast which was considered "the best" by the people. Was it fermented? Either or I think we can all agree that intoxication of any kind isn't a very good choice. Alcohol kills bacteria in water, but beyond a certain % alcohol the only actual benefit is for pain relief. Otherwise it's just being used to get sloshed.

Of the four decrees that are written in the Scriptures only the decree of Artaxerxes given to Nehemiah 2:8. Nehemiah references ( "the wall of the city" ) that refers to ( "and the wall even in troubles times" ) found written in Daniel 9:25. Important Note: 7 weeks of years had already transpired with Ezra, prior to the decree of Artaxerxes that was given to Nehemiah that ultimately fulfilled all of the 69 weeks found written in Daniel 9:25. So only count the additional 62 Weeks or 476 years from the decree of Artaxerxes that was given to Nehemiah! Nehemiah 2:1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Artaxerxes king of Persia ruled from ( 464 B.C. through 424 B.C. ) in whose court Nehemiah and Ezra both were officials and had received a decree from Artaxerxes! Nisan = 1st lunar month of Sacred Calendar falls in March or April every year. 464 B.C. subtract 20 years = Nisan / March or April 444 B.C. 424 B.C. addition 20 years = Nisan / March or April 444 B.C. 62 Weeks or 476 years subtract 444 years = 32 A.D. Spring Equinox 32 A.D. occurred 22 Mar 10:14 In 32 A.D. after the spring equinox on the next following lunar cycle in the month of April started the 1st lunar month of the Hebrew Sacred Calendar called "Nisan". ________________________________________________________________________________________ "Passover Week of Jesus Christ" The 483rd year of the "Seventy Week" prophecy of Daniel 9:25 ended on the 10th day of April a.k.a. "Palm Sunday" at His "Triumphal Entry" prior to the Lord's crucifixion in the year 32 A.D. Crucifixion occurred on Wednesday the 14th April 32 A.D. Resurrection occurred on Sunday the 17th April 32 A.D. Pentecost was the ( Night ) of Aug. 8th until the ( Day ) of Aug. 9th at the "Third Hour" between 9:00 a.m. to Noon, the Holy Spirit fell on the Apostles in the 5th month of AB. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Pentecost in 2024 starts ( Night ) of Aug. 12th until the ( Day ) of Aug. 13th at the "Third Hour" between 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

I’m southern Baptist and we don’t do what you just said

There are at least 13 famines mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 12:10, 26:1, 41:54, Ruth 1:1, 2Samuel 21:1, 1Kings 18:1, 2Kings 4:38, 7:4, 25:3, Nehemiah 5:3, Jeremiah 14:1, Luke 15:14 and Acts 11:28.

If I'm not mistaken, in the Left Behind book the pope that went in the rapture was considered a heretic by the catholic church because he became a real believer.

The New Wine Old Wine section got me thinking about abortion and the idea people put forward about it just being cells to a certain point in development. If you squeeze the grapes with the intent to make wine then definitionally that juice would be new wine. Bill Burr makes a joke concerning a cake and whether the batter is already a cake. Total tangent, man I love the Lord! Another thought I had was before refrigeration all grape juice would become wine or, spoil but in that context New Wine makes even more sense.

What about Acts 2:13 where the mockers said "These men are full of new wine" speaking of the disciples speaking in tongues?

Why do so many make the assumption that when Daniel says “the latter days” he’s referring to THESE days, just before the rapture? Wouldn’t the latter days be at the end of the millennial age? Wouldn’t Daniel have been given ALL prophecy and not end his prophecies at the rapture?

In Romans 1 the apostle Paul lists 23 characteristics of sinful people who have a debased or reprobate mind. The thirteenth characteristic is that they are haters of God (Romans 1:28 - 32).

Daniel chapter 12:4 is September 23, 2017 the first years of the tribulation rev 12:1-6 and rev is 13:1-6 tells us the same

In the KJV the 3 words together “to try them” is only in the entire Bible 2 times. In Dan 11:35 & Rev 3:10 which is the unbelievers after the Rapture. Help for Ch 11 video maybe, keep up the good work.

The number 13 is symbolic of rebellion and lawlessness in the Bible. Nimrod, the mighty hunter who was "before the Lord" (meaning he tried to take the place of God, Genesis 10:9), was generation 13 in Ham's line (Ham was one of Noah's three sons who survived the flood). 13 represents all the governments created by men, and inspired by Satan, in outright rebellion against the Eternal.
