Anthony Joshua RETURNS to Wembley Stadium in September when he takes on old sparring partner and domestic rival Daniel Dubois. Here is my reaction to the fight. Follow me on Instagram - www.instagram....
Before AJ fought Wallin people were saying he would be in trouble because he's good but now he's just a poor fighter let's not forget he was ranked second in the IBF
To be fair I never once heard anyone saying wallin was a going to beat AJ, hes never been a champion in his life, and hes only known for giving luke fury a cut. People said he was a tricky fight for AJ, but they always say that about the underdog in fights.
Dubois will crack under pressure of AJ. There's no way he will cope. The fight ends under 6 with KD or TKO win for AJ. Faster hands for Aj, better mover, harder puncher. Dubois will only needs a shot from the gods to win over AJ. My opinion.
@@josephridler-em5pk you comparing Dubois to Helenius is hilarious. One is significantly taller and fights on the outside and one is a pressure fighter.
Love your work Joey, but I just can't see how the DDD fight is competitive unless Daniel significantly changes his defensive capabilities. The Hrgovic win is good on paper, but the reality is he absolutely needed Hrgovic to punch himself out, whilst simultaneously putting no effort into his shots. 50 power shots in 4 rounds is unheard of and had Hrgvoic been a puncher it would have been a blowout. If AJ gets those kinds of opportunities, AJ will obliterate him for what could be his easiest fight (Outside of Ngannou) in the last 5 years. IMO, DDD Is tailor made for AJ to make a statement on a "champion".
benreeves5362 buddy please stop making excuses for hergovic, dubois was the man the tougher guy simple, and as for saying AJ obliterates this n that its H/W boxing aint you learned anything! have a nice day!!
@@jackstrop7520 Im not making excuses for Hrgovic, at all. Hrgovic was shite, but that's the point. Hrgovic was shit, but still landed more power shots on DDD than any HW boxer should expect to survive. If AJ lands even a fraction of those shots its curtains. DDD has terrible defense, that will absolutely be exposed by a big puncher with the technical ability of AJ. DDD does NOTHING better than AJ.
@@benreeves5362 excuses! hergovic was NOT shit in fact he was what he is a top fighter but was simply bettered on the night and yes AJ is technically gifted BUT to suggest that dubois does NOTHING better remains to be seen!!
@@jackstrop7520 I didn’t say Hrgovic was shit as a fighter, I said he was shit on the night and he was. He punched himself out throwing pillow fisted right hands (which all landed, every time) and was absolutely shattered. But please tell me. Shat does DDD do better than AJ?
Aj was hit by one of the top 5 hardest straght rights from klitchko (that most wouldnt get up from) and survived. His slow recovery is a bigger problem than his chin. He stays hit
I think that's a misnomer. That Straight right was absolutely perfect, and AJ stayed awake. Yes, he recovered slowly, but most would be out cold. Look at the shot he took from Dillian. Recovered pretty well that time and has managed to recover well in other instances. I actually think his chin is pretty damn good, because he's taken some hits and is yet to be sparked.
he stayed hit after taking a bone-crushing shot from a legend, and he stayed hit when Ruiz caught him on the ear and destroyed his equilibrium. Other than that, AJ has not shown a tendency to "stay hit."
He just had to be taught to not hyperventilate and that his breathing would return to normal and he could go back to fighting. Davidson is a good coach snd teacher.
I remember Matt Legg saying : *_"When Joshua hits you with a good shot it's like being hit with a brick..."_* The Big Q is ; Can Dubois cope with that...?
The key here is, can Dubois make himself less hittable then he was against Hrgović? I don't think he does and so AJ stops him, but wouldn't surprise me if the early rounds take us all back in time when AJ went up against Whyte, where he admits to letting the fight get personal and so we see him getting lost in the passion of the fight in the early rounds and gets caught with some solid shots.
Based on what i saw when Dubois fought Hrgovic, nah he'll get knocked out. No defense at all. Too many clean punches landed. How much clean punches from AJ he can withstand.?
Very exciting fight. I think Joshua knocks Dubois out, but who knows?! Good to see Dubois getting plenty of experience against these great heavyweights, win or lose.
I’m sorry but 2 big wins and then continues to say Big baby Miller 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Hrgovic was a massive win but miller 😳😳 He’s not even a top 15 fighter
Dubois is on the Spectrum,i expect a upset.Dubois is a throwback fighter, like a Lennox Lewis he goes for it,no caution like AJ has.If Dubois can touch AJ,we will see what AJ has left.Knockin out a UFC big stiff idiot dont prove nothing,i judge AJ off the Mr Blobby Franklin fight.Thats the real AJ 😊
Hrgovic spared DDD aswell and he was proud of himself until he lost against DDD. To be honest I know people don’t want AJ to win so Fury can be praised but DDD is just too stationary hrgovic hit him way too much without the cut might have won.
I forgot to realise how easily Usyk put Dubois down it looked like a little tap on the side of the face & looked like Dubois went down on his own accord - in other words it looks as though he quit AGAIN! LOL.
I see AJ dropping and hurting Dubois with a nasty uppercut. I am not sure if anybody noticed but Dubois like likes to change levels and before throwing his jab or his right hand sometimes and his guard is guard is usually wide open whenever he does this he falls forward towards his opponent, I see AJ timing that with a sharp uppercut and sitting Daniel and his backside. If Daniel decides to bomb rush AJ he will run into a counter right, AJ really throws good counters on the back foot. This fight will be a mismatch imo.
Dubois will get knocked out. Hopefully he has learned to keep his eyes open while under fire since his last fight. Otherwise it’s going to be a short night.
Totally agree with people saying that Anthony Joshua punches harder than Hrgovic and if Dubois eats that many right hands, he's toast. But the fact is that Hrgovic is quicker than Joshua. Dubois himself put it well, he said that "Hrgovic doesn't load up on his punches". He's very fluid and you don't always see them coming. I would agree that Hrgovic has a very fluid style of throwing punches that almost looks lazy because it's so relaxed. Anthony Joshua is the total opposite. He's very stiff, always has been, always wil be. "Dōmo arigatō, Mr. Roboto" 🤖 So, Hrgovic catching Dubois with right hands doesn't necessarily translate to A.J catching him.
Only people who haven't boxed pay attention to sparring stories, on the GB setup theyre training multiple times a day 5/6 days a week so when you're sparring that regularly its only a matter of time before you get clipped
Joe Joyce would have had to catch Daniel close to and with power and velocity to break the eye socket. Daniel could have been affected by double vision, too, so it would have been extremely difficult for him to continue. AJ has experience and movement in his corner, while Dubois has youth and a power edge. I can not see Daniel Dubois making the switch, if only because AJ went the full stretch x2 with Usyk.
AJ's chin is going to get checked in this fight for the first time since the Ruiz fight. Could be an upset here and a retirement from AJ if he gets ironed out.
dubois is a punchbag and AJ will take the punchbag off the ceiling in 2 rounds dubois is a perfect style for AJ to woop no head movement not foot work hes a triple knee take suspect bones suspect chin easyiest fight AJ will have next to francis.
I called the Hrgovic win. Was never sold on Hrgovic truly. But I feel Zheng would be a better matchup for AJ. Dubois took a lot of punches from Hrgovic. Hrgovic just didn’t have the power to keep Dubois down
It's not so much of who DDD beat. It's the fact that AJ beat his last 2 opponents in clinical, precise fashion. Cos even with Hergovics eyes gone, DDD couldn't even drop him once.
Ben Davison said it right. AJ is a bad match up for Dubois stylistically. He’s too quick, too precise and too powerful for Dubois to even stand a chance. Dubois has done “okay” in proper slogs of fights against slow moving opponents who don’t carry that much power and he’s had to walk through punches to win them. You just can’t do that against AJ. He’s going to walk into traps from the get go because that’s what Davison’s team do…. Joshua executes them perfectly. The only boxers not falling into them are Usyk and Fury potentially.
It'll be an entertaining fight, but I personally can;t see it being a 'close' fight. DDD has got the power and some good historic intel on Joshua, but that isn't enough to compensate for his lack of defence and sub par agility. AJ is sharp, powerful, and accurate. DDD will be a stationary target, which will make for a great knock out for Joshua to add to his resume.
Okay guys let’s be honest. AJ lost to Ruiz and then we got the gun shy AJ like Wilder. Since then he has built his confidence back but who really has he fought since then? Walin his former sparring partner is like Wilder Helenius and Ngannou does not have the same reflexes as a boxer. Just saying
big mistake by Dubois for pissing off Joshua. DuBois will suffer the same fate as Ngannou especially if he fights like he fought Hergovich in the first two rounds had it been Joshua it would have been game over for Dubois.
First time I've seen your videos, easy to watch and great content, I definitely think aj will win, I'm on the fence still as like you said it's heavy weight boxing anything can happen, but I just think aj will be to sharp on the night and his right hand will be to much for dubois
@@marko9506 That's a fair point but also DDD couldn't avoid any of Hergo's right hands either. AJ's right packs a lot more wallop. I still worry for DDD.
He's had a fight with jang and smashed him ha ha this mong don't no the true king off boxing Ali and Tyson mixed in one Joshua is so good you watch 3rd round knock out against Daniel and the 6th round knock out against fury watch
Dubois been dropped multiple times by non punches in kevin lerena and usyk lerena has a 46% ko ratio and usyk 63% ko ratio i think it is to ajs 89% so yeah his chin will be a problem
Dubious dubois will take the knee. Dubios had only fought 1 top tier fighter, the rest of his fights have been far lesser quality aponents than AJ had fought
lot of aj fan boys talking knackers as usual! but IF dubois backs him up to the ropes joshua is in skanky leg territory he"s still the favourite but its gonna be a really tough fight!!!
This fight is over inside 4 rounds im sorry anyone trying to suggest anything else is grasping at straws AJ will land at will and either knock out Dubois or make him quit
I see Dubois dominating this division in 5 years time….. fantastic he’s the ibf champion at such a young age but the same will happen to his career as Jo Parker. Few ups n downs but maturing in his early thirties….. ready to dominate when the current crop get too old……
So…. This might upset some people but firstly I want Dubois to win this one! As a boxer for the past 20 years and someone taking there coaching badges myself i can’t stand AJ. I have watched every single fight and I don’t respect or rate AJ at all and I can explain why.. while I can accept and understand that he has power in his hands the same way I accept and understand that every man over 6 foot and 15 stone in weight has power in their punches, I can’t accept that a man who doesn’t move his head, doesn’t have good foot work, doesn’t take a punch well and only has power in his hands is a champion.… my personal opinion is AJ should never have been champion.. I think that He beat a Klitschko in 2017 who was already beat 2 years earlier by fury, a Klitschko who also didn’t have a fight for 2 years after fury…. AJ fought a 41 year old Klitschko and still got put on his arse.. a Klitschko who had already lost the belts, the passion and had been inactive and my personal opinion is that if you put AJ in the ring in 2015 against Klitschko instead of fury in there we would never of had AJ on the tv screens chatting shit, we would not of had videos of AJ in collage dorms threatening young people for shouting out the window at him for being shit and we definitely wouldn’t of seen AJ having mental breakdowns, storming out the ring, throwing belts and grabbing mics when he couldn’t beat Ruiz Jr or Usyk… this is a man who is supposed to be an ambassador for British boxing but told the British public on tv not to support white businesses and only to support black business and was never stripped of the title when he should have been! He has changed his trainer more times in 3 years than his underwear, can’t take a punch on the chin without his legs looking like Bambi and now threatens to hit other British boxers in the face with chairs.. the arrogance that he has for someone who is a one dimensional fighter in my opinion is embarrassing! He has no loyalty he walked away from the best trainer he had who had got him through the olympics and too a world title and said that it was because Rob McCracken didn’t teach him defence and has had 3 trainers since trying to teach him how to hit and not get hit at 34 years old and it’s boring.. lol to conclude I would really really like to see Dubois pull it off and to send AJ into retirement to be honest.
IMO forget the age angle,34 isn't old for a heavyweight and he lives clean not like Fury say. I think dubois has a better chin but AJ hits a bit harder. Dubois fought the better most recent two opponents and i don't see the fight going 12. I predict between 7-9 either way. AJ should be favourite but not by such a wide margin. 4/1,7/2 dubois to me is overpriced as an ex bookie. That's my two pence worth.
@@gredax in truth, he beat a former contender, a fringe contender, a guy ranked #2 in the IBF, and an MMA celebrity who was inexplicably ranked in the WBC top ten at the time. You might not be impressed; i'm only maybe half-impressed, but none of those guys-- Helenius, Franklin, Wallin, nor Ngannou - qualified as "journeymen" when AJ beat them.
personally, i cannot stand trilogies unless they're rubber matches. But, the way the HW division is shaping up, AJ seems poised to climb right back up to the top, and a third fight against Usyk seems inevitable unless Usyk retires. There's just not really any competition at this point. Parker got next as the WBO Interim champ, but the rest of the guys at the top of the sanctioning bodies' rankings (DDD, Charr lmao) don't really have more right to a shot at the unified titles than AJ does... Sad state of affairs again, all of a sudden.
