When the movie isn't supposed to be a love story or romance but then you can't just ignore the fact how interesting Daniel's character and the way he's trying to save Grace from his own family.
dont really ship them. AT ALL. although i wouldnt deny that their cute together too. but they have great chemistry as sibling in laws. i know, the irony. but him saving grace isnt really something romantic. its just means that he really is different from his fucked up family. and also, another reason why i dont ship them, is the fact that his family put grace through a major trauma. and if i were in grace's shoes, it would be hard to end up with someone who initially also aided in killing you. even if he did try to save you in the end. and also, from daniel's perspective, it didnt really feel like he liked grace romantically at all. given the fact that he grew up in a family that basically prevented him from experiencing a normal sense of love. Plus, its pretty obvious from his alcoholism that he finds the fucked up tradition depressing. it felt like he sees grace as a poor victim right from the start. and he's trynna make up for the other lives that he could have tried to save before. with that said, it would be hard for him as well to build a romantic relationship with grace due to the immense guilt of also initially trying to kill her.
