As a young man, fabled folk singer Dan Heathfeet would hide in the bushes at the state college campus when summer began, to get a glimpse of his favorite thing in the whole wide world: the feet of a lady. Jailed intermittently for disorderly conduct and public lasciviousness, Mr. Heathfeet changed his ways, but never his heart. This song from the spring of 1973 is a callback to the first summer he felt truly alive, even though he ended the semester taking exams by mail at the Old Wheat Creek Penitentiary.
