The whole smaller guys get hurt belief is not supported by evidence, especially at QB. Last year the 5'10" 204lbs Bryce Young missed one game due to injury, while the 6'4" 244lbs Anthony Richardson only finished one NFL game so far because multiple injuries forced him out of the rest.

It’s about thickness and body type, not just the actual height and weight. But either way, weight classes exist for a reason. Physics comes into play eventually and a bigger body absorbs impact better. That doesn’t mean the bigger guy will have fewer injuries. The bigger guy could still have more sprains and pulls and tears and whatever. But as for absorbing impact? Give me a bigger body type every time. Did you ever have pads on? When I played, there were smaller guys who could hit hard, but for the most part, I wasn’t scared to get hit by a smaller guy the way I was when someone much bigger really stuck me.

well the panthers wanted bryce young not to run but just to deliver the ball quick. the colts HC, the running ability is a big part of his system so of course he will get hit more...

Remember that Daniel Jeremiah picked Bryce Young, head and shoulders above CJ Stroud. How did that work out?

Soooo Don’t draft JD based on this past one year. But Draft Maye based on his previous year that was worse than JD this year! Wtf 🫠

I think his point was Maye played well with very little talent around him while Daniels only played well when he had a stacked team with 2 stud receivers in Nabers and Thomas, both top 20 picks.

@@jflevine93 oh just like Joe Burrow when he had 2 stud receivers and went #1 overall.

@@papirodriquez7646 not disagreeing with the pick, just echoing Jeramiah’s reasoning. He’s also not wrong, it should be a red flag, but all these QBs have red flags honestly. I have no idea which of these QBs will pan out in the slightest.

@@jflevine93 I don’t know who will workout or not either. I just see so much hypocrisy in the Maye arguments. What’s the point of Daniels, Penix, Mccarthy winning in college or having great years. Maye is tall/big so what if he didn’t play as good as them he should be 2. Why even play or put film together if people are picking off the old prototypical QB look getting the edge over anything else.

I think DJ is as good as they come when it comes to evaluating talent along with his buddy Bucky Brooks. But.. when it comes to QBs it really is somewhat of a crap shoot. Look at all the glowing things everybody said about Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. You really dont know until you know. Personally I like Jayden over Drake but we'll see.
