He really is, thats what make these clips so funny! HAHAHA. Honestly same, i was so torn with the “conglomerate rocks” clip, but the 2000 years & “i have to study it for a year” thing convinced me otherwise, still not 100% sure though LOL
Lol sarcasm/banter is so Aussie lol The surfing one was half real but the Hawaii part was prob joking though lol and I bet his science teacher cracked up about the conglomerate rock one haha
Its here on youtube called “Silverchair - MTV In Touch (1999) (Full HD / VHS Upscale” by VHS Rock Archiv! Heres the link also ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JRrhLmCQzAo.htmlsi=Vat39-YKD8QDP8UT ☺️
Most definitely not lol. I remember when this interview came out and the silverchair/Dan online community was buzzing. The consensus was ecstasy for sure. Years later Dan said yeah, that whole Dissos era was super fueled with ecstacy. 😁 The drinking came later...more Young Modern era.
Is this real right now? I don’t know what to say so I am just laughing. I had no idea about this side of Daniel because I chose not to watch anything of the band except listen to a radio show I recorded as a teenager even though they are my favorite band.
@@rhythmandblues_alibiIt would have been so weird. People either loved him or hated him out of jealousy or because he acted a bit effeminate before being gay, bi or metrosexual was accepted . And in Highschool their parents told the school principle and teachers to never mention silverchair and treat them the same as everyone else. So they’d go from one extreme to the other. Also being introverted and reserved would have made all the attention harder to manage. And most other vocalists in Aussie bands were party animals, Alpha, loud etc. and wouldn’t have been someone to talk to who could relate to Daniel. And paparazzi didn’t follow them like they did with Daniel.
I wish I had seen them before all the crap started, seeing them now, would not be 1996-1999. Daniel is not what he use to be and prefers it that way. He's happy, so I'm happy for him if that's his choice. But anyone expecting them to come back the same, is kidding themselves. Probably why part of the tension with the band exists. Daniel got that grunge edge out of his system long ago, his band seems like us to long for it back as well. Nothing lasts forever, why you enjoy the moments when they are present.
