My idea is if we can get him 2 top o line in this draft with the 5th and 7th giving him time and giving Barkley the ability to get to the 2nd level we'd be unreal. I really hope we get a tackle and Linderbaum.
That’s like Steph Curry and having a hand in his face and still draining the 3. It has to be done. That’s all the time you get you face that shit and man up
@@zaydenalldayflournoy5950 no it’s not. It’s not even remotely close to being the same thing. In basketball you can call in isolation play so you can go one on one with your defender. There’s no such thing as a iso play in football. The quarterback success is contingent on the five people in front of him and how well they block. It’s not even the same thing. So to say man up is totally disregarding the fact that his job is dependent on five other people.
Im on the edge of my seat for this guy. He plays his heart out without a good O-Line or play calling. He takes every big hit, doesnt slide on big runs, 1-Arm catch when he knew he was getting drilled. Saquon and the WRs look like they give it their all for this guy too. Hes got talent, I really hope to see him do well. Giants are not my team but I think they are up and coming.
He finally has a fucking O-line to work behind, has a heap of offensive weapons with Golladay, Shep, Toney, Robinson, Barkley and Ross if they can stay relatively healthy he’s going to have a big year and if he doesn’t they will have a shot at either CJ Young or Willis next year, Giants biggest worry this year is the defence.
I just watched the Tampa bay highlights from Daniel jones first start of his rookie year, and it just gets be excited, I want to see this kid with weapons an o line and a good play caller, and I think we have that this year, we still aren’t gonna win much, but the games will be a lot more enjoyable
I think the offence will be great this year but the defence is what’s going to lose us games. I predict huge years from Jones and Saquan with this O line upgrade.
@@sammurphy6711 I don’t think it will be a great offense, everyone has to get used to a new playbook and scheme, but definitely going to be fun to watch
Yeah I have no real worries with tua he played great last season with nothing at all Jones is a different style QB though who requires deep threats since he's got an arm. Obviously an O line to give him time. Where as tua running an RPO needs fast receivers a particular o line and a running back. Let's see if your coaching coaching staff has what it takes to make him successful. Same with ours!
@@DaBeastu tua performed better with the worst ranked oline and no legit running game … I have more belief that tua could succeed before jones especially side by side comparison tua numbers are actually better than josh Allen
Agreed but I don't normally put qbs down until they show me they can't do it with something. Jones isn't elite but that doesn't mean anything unless the fan base cares about elite you can win if put I'm the right situation
Was at the Carolina game last season and when this play at 8:13 happened the energy in the stadium was incredible, haven’t felt that at MetLife in a long time. Yes he hasn’t lived up to the selection at #6 overall but the potential to be great is there, hoping Daboll can get the most out of him.
You can tell from these highlights... he's running FOR HIS LIFE, and being hit on most of these throws. These are the HIGHLIGHTS!!!! Yes, very few TD's, but it's really hard to throw TD passes when your line disintegrates on nearly every offensive play. I'm thinking Even Neal is going to have something to say about that this season.
Got two big guys named Evan and Andrew who are going to see to his having extra time this season. You bookend like that, and you'll have a QB who's going to make his play against the Saints look routine.
Crazy that people say he stinks. Has he lived up to his potential and the #6 pick, no definitely not yet. But how can you watch him and not see the talent and the ability he possesses. He needs to develop more, but also needs support around him. Better coaching, healthy skill players, and of course something more than atrocious offensive line play. He’s big and strong, athletic, he plays with toughness and desire, he’s competitive and hard working, smart and level headed, and has a strong and accurate arm. What other qualities could someone want from their QB. He needs to put it all together and if he does he can be really good. We’ve seen him do it
It's all between the ears for him. Jones actually is more physically talented than Eli but Eli had the perfect mentality for NY and the game in general.
@@KBIbanez1989 I think they’re mental makeup is very similar. Jones seems very even keeled, doesn’t get bothered by the noise. A quiet leader just like Eli. He just needs to make better decisions with the ball and with his body
DJ was on pace for 4000yds 30+ tds his rookie year! He did that with GARBAGE around him coaching, oline, receiving you name it. The play calling has been the problem the last 2 years, and now he has a match made in heaven with Daboll. 4000 yds 35 tds in 2022.
@@efrainvillalobos9228 he fumbled the ball last year less than guys like mahomes, Dak, kyler, hurts, tua, josh Allen, jimmy g and more. He’s actually pretty much average at it now. Tied for 18th most fumbles amongst QBs
@@Osmosis-jy6xp Tua just isn’t flashy but that doesn’t mean you cant win with him. Drew, Peyton, Brady and others not flashy at all but they all won and are uh my top 5 QBs
Ive been tough on this dude since he was drafted, but I do see that he has potential to be solid. Just needs some consistent help... And also STOP DIVING HEAD FIRST.
Eagles fan here. DJ's talent is evident. I'd take him over Hurts no question. I hope the Oline you guys are building can protect him because he seems to be under pressure on almost every throw. Kid has all the tools and if Daboll can get him playing anything close to Josh Allen's level, the Giants are gonna be a problem. I want to see this Division mentioned with the AFC west, NFC west & AFC north as one of the toughest divisions in football.
Amazes me that people willfully forget the fact in 2019 in both he and Kyler Murray's first year he had a better td/int ratio and a slightly higher qb rating along with a little lower completion percentage. Then came the arrival of Joe Judge and with the exception of Andrew Thomas and Xavier McKinney everything sucked.
People forget rightfully so because it was a pedestrian season you caught up in the first season but if we mention all his fumbles you’ll be like that was 2020 stop living in the past
Cowboy fan since 72..I like the kid hopefully he will Ball out so he can get a new contract.Hes got all the potential in the world it's put up or shut up time.💵💵 time.
He can play, but New York is not the place for him. Even the owner said they did everything to cause him to fail. Now this wasn't done purposely, but rather to ineptitude.
For this upcoming 2022-2023 season, Joe Schoen and Daboll did a lot in one offseason to help Jones - 1. The offensive line seems more competent on paper with players familiar with the scheme. 2. The WR room is deeper now, with Slayton projected to be the WR5/potential cut in this offense. 3. Saquon Barkley seems to be more involved in the passing game than he ever has before. In 2019, when Saquon was healthy and the receivers were not dropping balls left and right, Daniel Jones had a 23:9 TD:INT ratio. If he can recapture that form...
Jones never had a chance to show what he can do. No QB, not even Tom Brady could have done anything behind that O-Line and an offense that could not stay healthy. Let's add a bad coach and GM. Now that things are changing, let's see what Daniel Jones can do. I think he will do well.
Minus the turnovers he has such a good tape Idk how people think he is “trash” 😂 his career highlights are unreal imagine what he can do with competent coaches and an offensive line!
Ppl don’t know DJ was ranked as the 2nd best QB after the 1st 4 games...per PFF. What happened? Injuries kicked in hard, Thomas got hurt n name the receiver, because they got hurt to. DJ is vastly underrated, I hope we stay reasonably healthy this year 🙏
Man... Watching some of those pockets and that offense line gave me nightmares and trauma lol.. PTSD.... I really think he does have the ability to light it up broskys... We'll see this year.. Hopefully he'll shut up all the media and fake Giants fans right the hell up!
This year, Daniel Jones will finally escape the shadow of his predecessor Eli Manning, turn his luck around, redeem and reinvent himself, go from “Danny Fumbles” to “Danny Miracles”, solve his turnover problems, lead the NFL with a 123.6 passer rating, 486 completions in 638 passing attempts, 75.6 completion percentage, 5,478 passing yards, 56 touchdown passes and 56:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio and win NFL MVP honors as well as Super Bowl LVII with the Giants.
As a Giants fan Jones feels like such a head scratcher. Good arm strength, accurate, and can run. I don't understand why we struggle so much. Its not just the offensive line too. I guess Jones does not read the field very well. Hope it clicks for him.
He never had time to go through his reads, but when he had time he made some great passes. He has so much potential but the players around him made it incredibly hard. Put any great QB behind that O line and they would look bad as well. Now he gets his chance with a solid O line and some good weapons to throw to.
going into the saints game we should’ve been 2-1, leave that game 3-1, jones narrative would’ve started to change then, crazy how a couple plays change everything
If the O line stays healthy ( it will be better ) same with WRs there are a lot of things you can do … you have 3 shifty WR that can create in space … a back that has WR type hands & route running skills and a 6 ft 4 guy that can win 50/50s… alot of questions still but they could surprise people
If the Giants let him go I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him in a Colts uniform next season if the Giants new regime opts to go a new direction. It's hard to say how good he is b/c his O-Line has been so subpar his career thus far. We have to fix our own O-line though tgecway it looks now smh.
JaMarcus Russell has a great highlight reel too. Anyone can but the point is Daniel is a backup at best and needs EVERYTHING to be perfect to be above average. Expect Anthony Richardson or Tyler Van Dyke to be starting as QB for the Giants in 2023
He has all the talent and arm strength in the world he just needs a better oline and healthy receivers. His turnovers has gotten better since year 2. He not forcing it. He only had one bad turnover game last year and that was against the rams. I wouldn't even count the pick he threw for a hail mary against that saints game before half time.
@Леон Дубіченко I think 50 tds and 49 to but the last 2 years he kept to down. 22 picks in the last 2 years compare to when he 20 plus in his first. He getting better on taken care of the ball. I'm taking one of those picks aways from the saints game where he threw a hail mary cause to me those don't count.
Love my Giants but we are the new Browns for Rn. We let gettleman overstay his welcome. That decision lead to the premature retirement of Eli, bad draft picks from 2016-2021and crazy trade. The rebound is tuff
Nate Solder getting man handled on almost every single one of these plays and the giants turf sucks majority of the injuries for the giants happened in home games😭😭
if there is anything I've learned from this past off season.. all sorts of whack shit is going on with the NFL - between Brady conspiring to buy the Miami dolphins... etc... would not at all put it past Jason Garrett to have purposely destroyed the offensive play calling.
I don’t think DJ minds not getting the 5th year option. If he balls out he gets his big contract early though if not he’s gonna probably be cut. Will depend on the work this year no excuses. Not saying play offs but he should show progress
This kid can make every play everybody talks about his fumble problems but if you get blasted from The blind side on the regular basis how you supposed to one, go through your progressions? Two hang on to the ball during that?
Now that we have a new regime can he get rid of the long sleeves please? He’d be a lot cooler with short sleeves lml. I’m calling 23 tds 2 Rush td 8 int 2 fumbles
Throws a 45+ yard dime off balance off of his back foot with 3 defenders in his face to KT and Giants fans are screaming for a new QB.... istg this fan base is the worse judge of QB ability
So funny how yall talk about “thank god we got rid of gettleman” but y’all forget gettleman was one who drafted jones yet yall defending jones for any reason possible
Being a long time Giants fan and someone who listens to a lot of NY sports talk radio , i am an expert and i know that Jones is a bust cause he didn't win the Super Bowl by himself in his first 3 years.
.He can’t be smart with the football consistently .can’t stop fumbling . Can’t stop throwing int . Can’t make the right reads . Cant throw touchdowns.. . Can’t read defenses..
@@TheRealPrinceCastro tell me you based your opinion of a chippy RU-vid video that only uses the completions to paint a different picture than reality. Now show the entirety of jones play from each. You can make an hour long video of his screw ups and bad decision making
