Concora performing all three movements of Daniel Pinkham's Christmas Cantata; from the CD "Christmas In Our Time" (Richard M. Coffey, Artistic Director and Conductor, with the Westminster Brass.
I'm rolling right now, because the photo up at the 5:45 mark is of the conductor under whom I sang the Cantata in college; Josh Jacobson was the choral director at Northeastern University for over forty years, and I started singing with him a few months after the photo was taken in 1977 ... and for the last time in 2013.
SPECTACULAR performance (and I've listened to nearly all of them out there)! Tight, cohesive, and with an even more-thrilling than usual mvt. III. Thanks for uploading!
Love this. I sang the final movement with Tampa Oratorio Singers back in 2014, as a member of the chorus and solo quartet (or well, octet, since the parts were doubled.) One of the most delightful Christmas works I've had the privilege of singing.
...and I'll bet the director had to remind you not to bounce in your seats, right? There's a similar bit in the Vivaldi "Gloria" where you see choristers' heads bobbing up and down like ducks in a shooting gallery. :)
I don't know about downloading, uploading, or side loading but I do know this is one fine performance. I first sang this in an All Eastern Conference choir in 1973 and have had the priveledge of teaching it and conducting it since.
