Daniel Ricciardo Drag Races F1 Car vs F/A-18 Hornet ✈️ 

I was confused between buying F1 car and F/A-18 hornet ... But thanks to this video , it cleared my doubt 🤗

I love how in 1:49 you can see the high pressure air under the Hornet and above the F1. Shows how they're basically the same design but upside down, one to create lift and the other one to create downforce.

man, how beautiful it is watching how that hornet goes parallel to the ground and then climbs into a sweep ascend..the other day, i saw f22 in an air show. When it comes at you and then takes a virtical climb up to sky makes me smile. I love jets so much!!

In the video, you might note that the FA18 did not even use stage 1 of its five stage 'reheat' ie. afterburner. Had it done so, the F18's acceleration would have dramatically improved.[for non fliers, the F18 is nearing its 50th birthday, albeit updated.]

Let me just be the first to say how incredibly HUMBLE the fighter guy is. Being an F-16 pilot select myself, it took me 4.5 yrs of applying to get a slot. My highlights are: -Varsity sports in high school/team captain, 3.9 GPA -College basketball (2 yrs), highest GPA on the team -volunteer firefighter for one year -fraternity founding father and winning a prestigious national award -graduating college on the honor roll -earning/paying for my own pilot license -scoring in the 96th percentile on my Air Force tests -scoring a 98/100 on my physical fitness tests -Civil Air Patrol member -having a job where I managed over 50 people And even having accomplished all this, it required over 4 YEARS of applying every single month. Having been around fighter pilots frequently, it’s incredible how humble they are. A little different than how the movies portray them to be

No university background and they let him fly F18's? Wish it was that easy here in the US. The Naval Academy is pretty much required to get accepted into the Navy's pilot program.

Have to admit, I've got a weakness for machines that can accelerate...vertically!

I miss the V8 already

the pilot forgot to mention that you have to have to ability to do multiple calculations simutaneosly in your mind while piloting a freaking flighter jet, staying calm in high pressure situations and the phiscal demands of actually flying one of these things. so even if you're determined, you're not necessarily going to get selected as a pilot. even if you are the smartest person, you won't necessarily make it as a pilot. if you're personality doesn't suit, you won't make it. just because you put your mind to it and you're determined, you can't accomplish anything despite what motivators say.
