I met Danny in 2017. It was backstage at an Alexisonfire gig in Perth. He WAS the loveliest man! We spoke for about 10-15mins about music and shit. And then after the show we were having a chat about the Merc seat and how he missed out. He was just such a good dude.
@@elbona279 I think that’s part of their charm they made the sport accessible and understandable they make it fun it’s not some snobby British nerd going into detail over every minute engineering problem and how it’s fixed it’s a laid back show that’s funny and they definitely deserve the success they have
Great interview! Daniel seems like a genuinely nice guy. I'd love to see him back with Max in RBR but even if he doesn't get the seat, he's still accomplished so much already. Rooting for DR3!

Daniel Ricciardo’s smile is so contagious. I found myself smiling from ear to ear throughout this podcast listening to his anecdotes, and just his attitude and bubbly energy is really nice and able to capture anybody’s heart. 😀

I'm defo late to the party, but I've been binging Drive to Survive this summer (2024) and I have to say Daniel is the best part of it. He's just the most down to earth one, it's great to see this podcast and see he's just genuinely this guy all the time!! I do appreciate that the series shows us a lot more of the sport and everything that goes into it.. because I'm not going to lie, I'm from Montreal and over here the Grand Prix weekend is synonymous with rich men coming over to have a good time at any price: escorts and sex trafficking. It's been great seeing the actual "sport side" of Formula 1 and hopefully it becomes an event that's not so misogynistic! 🙂
Remember when they used to do those long post-race interview at a table (inside) pre-Covid? I was so looking for the Daniel/Lando interviews when he joined McClaren. But it was not to be.
Say what you want about him being washed, Danny Ric is a REAL ONE. Will always be one of my favorite drivers on the grid. The sport will be worse without him. 💯
Well at least match color temperatures i guess. That would help. (The shot of them together looks blue, Danny look fine i think) But in the end, content is king and you are great! First time I've watched you and I like your vibe and interview style. Much less formal which gets the F1 drivers actually talking instead of forcing their default answers for everything
