Fun clip but I hope people realize it's not this black and white. They seem to have an unspoken deal that Alana and Este are free to steamroll Danielle in the lightweight nonsense interviews about clothes, touring, bass face etc, while Danielle just zones out -- but in serious interviews about the music and the creative process, D often takes the lead while E&A give her all the space she needs.
She’s so cute, chill and soft spoken. I have nothing against the other two but Danielle definitely has something special and I really like her quietness.
People call me an introvert because I'm similar in group settings. I find it frustrating because I'm not THAT quiet, I just don't like shouting over people and I can't stand when people talk over me when I'm speaking so I wait for a window. Oftentimes, you end up not getting one. I think people like us are just more polite than these "extroverts."
I feel the same way as you. like I might have a lot to say and it might even be important to the conversation but if I have to fight to say it or if I have to be disrespected by being spoken over I will just be quiet. 💯🎯💥
I totally understand you guys. I think most ppl don't know how to talk and have a conversation??? If someone says "I like the color green" I feel the urge to ask why instead of saying "i LiKe rEeEd". So I believe many ppl who call themselves extroverts are just way too self centered and unpolite and I'd rather be seen as shy than fighting to speak.
Gotta stand up for yourself, it's the only way people will respect your presence. The best way to do that is to realise your version of polite isn't actually polite at all. I know this because I struggle with it too sometimes.
If they’re talking over u then just do it! It isn’t rude sometimes it just the flow of the convo and people get excited, it’s rude if it is constant but if it just occasional… Basically I’m saying don’t just sit back and wait, get in what u wanna say! Alternatively, if people truly aren’t caring or letting u speak, maybe try hanging around different people… sadly :/ cuz the people who care about u will let u speak
At first maybe I saw it as they just aren’t giving her a chance to talk but then the longer I watched my opinion switched to maybe they just know their sister better than we do and know she hates doing interviews and talking publicly with cameras on her so they’re picking up her part
Since the very beginning of Haims public conversations with media it was obvious that these 3 have distinctly different ways of sharing their ideas. That's what separates them and is refreshing. It might be a family dynamic thing that developed over time . Alana - congenial, Danielle - viby, Este - tude
This isn't necessarily introversion, at least not only introversion, there is a misconception that it means awkwardness or social ineptitude but in reality it simply means your energy is drained by social interaction.
LOL As kids the other 2 , running around the living room in circles . Just running & running & running😂 just to run !! While Danielle sits drawing or writing a little story glancing up when a lamp shatters .
Great band, but when I watch them, to me Danielle is the heart of this band. I think it all goes through Danielle. I love her guitar playing, that SG sounds so good.
Yeah right but Danielle is very talented and comes roaring out on stage once they kick in and play and Danielle has the best stage presence too. Alana loves talking (!!!) and Este is very extrovert they are all loveable ! Danielle is quiet like George Harrison was when The Beatles were cavorting about yet likewise he was the most brilliant guitarist Danielle absolutely rocks guitar and comes alive with an awesome voice once the music begins and that's what it's all about isn't it ? She's beautiful too x
I never knew they existed until a week ago. I happened upon one of their live performances on YT recently. They really impressed me. They have a unique a style that transcends genres, and when they kick it into high gear they rock hard!! Great to have a really good, talented band with uniquely different kinds of hooks in their songs finally come along in this day of monotonous autotuned pop music, rap songs that all sound the same, and an endless line of Disney TV stars becoming "singers".
Danielle Speaks Through Her Music & Lyrics. Has An Abundance of Talent. Seriously How Can She Possibly, Get A Word In. They Take The Microphone From Her Hands, Interrupt Her Constantly. Has Anyone Seen The Interviews?
This is so funny. I actually went to a meet and greet of theirs when they came out with their first album. And when I went to say hi to Danielle, we exchanged a couple words and I commented something like "oh wow you're actually taller than I imagined" and Danielle was gonna say something when Este jumps in and she's like "I'm a GIANT!" 😅 So yeah these clips are totally accurate haha. I love them.
Alex Jones drinking whiskey in the dark thinking about how Shawn Carter said "die young or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" while listening to this in the background and realizing it hits different
It's interesting because the oldest dude in Hanson is the same way. In that dynamic the youngest talks the most then the middle. In Haim it's the youngest too that talks the most then the oldest:)
I'm a middle child myself and so for this stupid reason I love danielle the best and I'm totally and madly and irrevocably in love with her. And I believe she is the most beautiful woman 👩 on earth 👩 ❤️ 🌎
Even at my older age. The quiet guy. When I was 10 years old, I got way tooo much attention after playing drums in a play! After school and during school practice. At home practice. I was a terrible student. But, after that play, people came up to me and totally overwhelmed me with attention.🤗 I didn’t talk. I talk when I want to and that’s it🤷🏼♂️🤷🏿♂️
