That's your woman Dave! It must be so so so incredible to "see" Mori's voice. He hears it all the time but to see it when he mixes and engineers (not that she needs much of engineering, if any) her voice. For him to still react that way......says it all. She is amazing!!!!!! I have been waiting for you to react to this since she put it out on her channel. 😊 I agree with you that Mori has this something special about her that causes us to feel the chills and goosebumps whenever we watch and listen to her performances, maybe it's her voice and how she is able to belt those notes so crisp and clear and being even able to sustain them🔥. And yes, she performs and not just sing, as you rightly pointed it out here. She always gives us her 100% whenever she performs a song, regardless whether she was sick or well. Watching this "Power" recording video for many times now, I have noticed how she opens her arms when she belts those difficult high notes, particularly in the key change, at the same time tilting her head back a little, that I am now imagining her to be the Phoenix that's flexing her wings and letting out that magical Phoenix sound 🔥🥰 And Dave, yes, you've also noticed his reactions, how he shakes his head at times or holds his face, in amazement of how good his wife is. If you watch the video till the end, you will see him remarking jokingly in Tagalog of Mori being "rude" for being so good. 😅 First take? after days of being sick? and yet able to perform this way? It may be possible that because she is in such tune with her singing, that what we would perceive as a minor irritation, becomes what Morissette perceives as actually being sick. This is because it takes very little sickness to affect her performance, at least from where her self-critiquing comes from. We non-singers may not even perceive what she is feeling as being sick. If I say that I am too sick to sing, it doesn't mean anything because I sing like a frog anyway. But when Morissette perceives that she is possibly too sick to sing, it can be easily heard in her performance, from her perspective, although she may not appear to be sick at all, from our perspective. In our minds, it is a very fine line between singing great and singing perfect. In her mind there may be a huge gap between singing great and singing perfect. Just a thought. Take from it what you will, and discard the remaining. 😊
