This should be a tarantella; it may be or not be an etude as you mentioned, or a dance, because Chopin wrote his ideas on paper so people could interpret it in their ways, and not determine how they shall or shall not be interpreted

A good piece, but not one that provokes emotions. Just look at his face throughout the performance; it's pretty much expressionless. And Trifonov is known for making lots of varied expressions while playing.

Say what you want about this guy, this is NOT one of the best Tarentellas. Its very good but misses the mark slightly in the lightness and dance-like aplomb.
