Apparently Hans Zimmer turned down Nolan's last movie to score Dune 'cause it's one of his dream projects. Also read that after the score is released, he's gonna be releasing even more music inspired by Dune.

@@boodabill trailer editors can use the score from the upcoming movie in the trailer. They do it all the time. The third fucking man of steel trailer had the "what will you do when you're not saving the world?" Track from the actual movie.

FINALLY, a version of the baron that looks AMAZING!! Oh god, him flying in the air on his suspensors and yet his robe still dragging down on the ground due to its insane length, it gave me fu**ing anxiety.

Yeah, its such a simple but great take on the floating baron. Him flying around in David Lynches movie looked silly and goofy. This on the other hand looks really cool (and actually makes so much sense - the robes makes him look tall, powerful and menacing, exactly what royal garments are supposed to do).

we've seen it all before in the lynch version, this looks like its made by people with no balls, all the dead colors, the generic looking costumes and vistas, its uninspiring, even tarsem could do better, fucking industrial cinema

Okay, okay, okay. So something I noticed/weird coincidence: The Baron's robe is so long/worm-like, that when he floats he almost seems like a twisted, yet very similar proto-version of what Leto II is to become. The idea just hit me and I just can't shake it anymore!

There's a TV series based on Asimov's Foundation coming out. Not sure how they'll do it since the books were short stories spread throughout thousands of years with the civilizational concepts being the main character I'm cautiously optimistic

If anyone can get a good performance out of Jason Momoa, it'll be Denis Villeneuve. I think he's gonna be PERFECT as Duncan, and if we get that far, I think Hayt will be SUPER interesting because he'll be so different

Looks like the smuggler scene with Gurney Halleck to me with the Sand Worm doing a photo bomb in the back ground but you're right, if that is true then it has to be a vision since I would expect that scene to be in the second part.

Danika, Hans Zimmer is a HUGE fan of Dune. He inspired this creation and pushed to make a film that truly reflected Herbert's story and the Duniverse. I am SO pumped to see it: like you, I just hope to God Australia overcomes Covid Delta, we reach 90% vaccination and we are free to see the movie in cinemas where it belongs.

I went to the IMAX preview screening, and Hans Zimmer actually said that he has been a fan of the book for a long time, and so he really put his all into this soundtrack, he even invented new musical instruments so that it would sound like it's actually from the far future, and he said that the one through line for all musical history is the human voice, so he really focused on vocals in the score

Danika's Dune credentials are beyond reproach, but idk, I feel like Quinn might overtake her soon, just through the sheer output of videos he's making about Dune, and the research that goes into them, it might be fresher in his mind. But who knows. They are both incredible, and such a boon to the fandom, I'm just grateful we have them!

I hope this movie will break into two parts, one part is Leto's own hero arc, the other is Paul and Jessica's hero arc. Cause they are all such badasses. Sort of like Jor-El's story in Man of Steel

Yeah good analogy. The great thing about Man of Steel is you see it takes four heroes to make Superman: all of Jor-El, Lara, Jonathan & Martha are heroes. Each one is relentless in their duty.
