I've found the Danner Bull Run to run narrow but true to length. The Bull Run Chelsea is true in both dimensions. Wait for Black Friday and you'll get them for under $200.
@@marlenakauer5262 I just tried the Redwing Chelsea and they were only offered it in D width, and they're narrow D only so I'd suggest the Danner. And they've been $170 for the last couple of years on Black Friday.
FWIW I am a 10 EE in all of the Danner boots that I have tried. 9.5 4E Brannock. Though that is pretty common for me in many brands. The Bull Run that I tried on last weekend felt good but I didn't pick them up because I can't decide between the Mocs or the Chelsea.
Seeing as the US is still one of the highest valued currencies, I think we should expect USA made to come with a higher price but also a great or better quality than some other places. I don’t mind paying more for MITUSA, but where it can be frustrating is when the quality is worse. But live and learn, and ultimately, I want everyone in our country (USA) to be paid a living wage and if as a consumer, I pay more that’s AOkay with me. Nice review!
How do you feel these will be for summer wear? I normally wear cowboy boots but I live in florida and need something lighter and more breathable in the summer. I have the Danner logger 917’s which are very light and comfortable but they are lined and are slightly hot in the summer
That’s a tough call. On one hand, I’ve been to Florida in the summer and it’s really hot. My preference would be for a light pair of sneakers. But, if you’re used to wearing cowboy boots, these might do the trick for you.
You should ask Huckberry if they'll let you compare the Danner to the Red Wing Weekender. The Red Wing is the same price but better built in my opinion. Nevermind, you did that. Lol
