In this episode Jessica talks about having a liver transplant when she was just 7yrs old and how for many years she was living a good healthy life.
Jessica was in desperate need of her transplant so her Mum did what I think any mother would do and become a living donor.
Jessica tells me how getting sepsis in 2019 made her very ill and she spent a lot of time in and out of hospital getting it sorted and getting her immune system back to working order.
She describes the time as a big reminder of how being a transplant patient can leave you vulnerable to certain illness and it was bit of a shock again.
We discuss the pro and cons of being in Transplant groups on the internet and Jessica tells me about possible plans to start her own podcast which I think is a great.
