A combination of that ankle injury, terrible management by Martin Johnson and Cipriani's attitude meant he never reached his potential. But he's been playing very well at club level for several years and an injury to Farrell or Ford might see him in the World Cup.
Great video, I never really liked Cipriani when he was at wasps for the second time, he seems to be growing into his own now at Gloucester. Keep up all the good work 💙
The welsh produce pure talent so do the Aussies and when we get our chance we squander it. Pure wasted potential, an amazing and skilful player to watch but yet another example of “if ya face fits” pisses me right off. PICK TALENT ENGLAND.
@@fbprofreestylers3053 lol, only an english fan would consider an ALL TIME WORLD CLASS PERFORMANCE one where there was only kicking involved and against a low ranked team
I see some parallels between him and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil. Lots of criticism, lots of negative media attention, non stories, click bait to wind up fans and a lot of misunderstandings but a huge creative talent
Gin Lundamo in England I don’t think so, sure some will use it in jokes or chants about him but I think if Ozils performances matched his Real Madrid levels then it would be a different story. The problem for Ozil is that his style makes him easy to criticise, he looks like he isn’t working that hard and when you’re earning stupid amounts of money and a CB in the team as as many assists as you people are gonna get upset and you aren’t playing well for a while then it’ll get worse. Plus there’s the whole political thing with Erdogan. In Germany I don’t know, I’m not German.
Drunk Cat Phil I think Cipriani definitely deserved a call up to the World Cup , I think he’s a victim of his past behaviour which causes pre judgement to coaches. I feel he has a lot of personal issues with regards to being of mixed race (identity issues) & lack of father being present. In Ozil’s case , I agree with his style being tailored made for criticism. On the other hand, it can be down to mentality. It’s not his game to be running 24/7 like a James Milner or Jordan Henderson. He has good and bad games but is made a scapegoat too much
Unfortunately, if people don't want you, they're going to try very hard to prove it and this culture has a VERY tough time with creative characters: look at England football's history. Great video though 👍
Such a sad story... So unfortunate that such an incredible talent will get thrown in to the "what if" bin along with players like Gavin Henson, James O'Connor and the like.
Very interesting, Danny first came to prominence in New Zealand when our arch teaser Stephen Jones made a fool of himself, by describing Danny as the greatest thing ever, not just the best ten of all time, but a new level rugby player. Carter and Wilkinson were nothing. oh dear. When he came and played super rugby he learned to play in the line, and take the ball flat rather than in the pocket, and he really improved. I honestly thought he became a much better player and thought that he would make it back playing for england. I am not sure what happened, he certainly had talent
