Danny Phantom is coming back to continue where it left off, now this time in the form of a manga coming out in July of this year. Subscribe to the channel for more shorts and full length content: / fringefam
One correction. This isn't a manga, this is a graphic novel, much in the same vein as Scott Pilgrim. That being said, this is still awesome. I can't wait to see Danny kicking ghost butt again. :)
Manga is the Japanese term for a comic, I believe there's a difference between a comic and a graphic novel (i.e. the word count) if it's just a comic then Manga isn't too far off the correct term.
@@gothic_ace2037 Yeah, they could have just been pedantic. But they also could have just phrased it poorly and they meant Graphic Novels are more like the collection of Managa volumes.
He's an incredibly well written villain. There are no gaps in his plans and he leaves nothing to chance. The only reason he didn't just outright kill Danny's family was because he needed to make sure he didn't mess up the timeline. Now that he exists outside of time, however, it's going to be interesting to see how our Danny deals with a villain as ruthless as Dark Danny.
@@nekovet69 yeah plus he has the powers of both Danny and Vlad and most likely their potential. Plus since time seems to be a whole part of this manga he might go back in time to collect something to make himself even stronger. Maybe that reality warping gauntlet that one guy had.
Considering how no ghost has ever been showing doing it and that Dan escaping would make him the only one to break a thermos from the inside.... probably very VERY hard.
There's a comic I started reading that's a cross over of multiple shows. The main focus is Danny Phantoms characters and Ben 10s characters meeting and trying to stop their old enemies from uniting and controlling the multiverse.
Long-time phan here! The first rally photo you showed is actually one I took at the 2009 Save Danny Rally. It was the last Save Danny rally held and was in California at the UCLA campus before the Kid's Choice Awards (not NYC like the other two photos). The Danny Phantom Online Forums held quite a few rallies in both CA and NY! I was really happy to be able to attend one of them, especially the last. One of my fondest memories. I am very excited for the graphic novel! The artist has been a phan since the beginning, so I know it's in good hands. 💚
I love how it ended. It was one of the few kids shows that actually had a proper ending. But I've always wanted more because Danny Phantom was such a huge part of my childhood. This is awesome. I hope it doesn't use time travel to just undo the events of Danny revealing his secret to the world, but instead shows him facing the difficulties of being a known hero. If this succeeds, like the avatar comics have, other shows might capitalize on this and bring back more of our favorite superhero cartoons via manga/comic
Hi, sorry, do you know if the comic is going to reach Latin America? and will it be in physical format? I'm from Argentina. I did some research but no bookstore or publisher talks about the comic, they also ask for tweets but there was no response. I would really like to get the comic.
Couldn’t be more excited for this but at the same time I love the 5 Years Later comics that’s being done rn and it’s got so much love and fan base behind it it’s great and I highly recommend to anyone that sees this
Invader Zim got a movie, Samurai Jack got a new season, Venture Bros. is finally getting a movie, Courage the Cowardly Dog had a crossover with Scooby Doo, Ed, Edd and Eddy got a movie several years after they had ended, now Danny Phantom. And not just spin-offs either. These were done with the original teams of the shows that made these properties and gave them the respect they deserved. Wish we could also get some closure for Megas XLR; that was a great show that was dropped out of nowhere and it sounds like Cartoon Network is just being really petty with withholding the rights to it even though they have no interest in ever using it again. Heck, even the original voice actors for the monster girls from Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School got to reclaim their roles in an episode of OK K.O. more than THIRTY YEARS after it had aired!! That was a reference on a kid's show to an animated movie that is older than I am!
I think there's a theory that only ghosts have pupils, which also explains why some apparently human characters have eyes. Like Danny in that case, who is a ghost now
I remember seeing the creator of the show theorizing how he would design adult forms of each character and it look like it could be good idea for story
That’s interesting. I hope this is also there way of trying to get hype for Danny Phantom again and potentially bring the show back. Also glad to hear Dan Phantom is coming back, it always felt like they wanted to do more with him and never did.
Danny was an S-tier beast. Flight, enhanced strength, invisibility, intangibility, ecto power blast, see, talk to, and control ghost, possession, self duplication, and could cross between the world of the living and dead. A whole monster
I always thought that ut was weird that such a *final* villain like Dark Danny was sandwiched in the middle of Season 2, instead of being used as the conclusion. Hell, the showrunners clearly knew they struck gold with him as well, so they alluded to the possibility of him coming back way back them, but nothing came out of it. So the fact that he's coming back here is *awesome*
When i was young i kept stumbling into this cartoon that i KNEW was awesome but i rarely had the chance to actually sit and watch it. Now I have the perfect excuse to binge it.
Wait, this is actually really cool! I bet the studio is testing the waters, seeing how well it sells. Smart on their part to do this before a full fledged revival. Respect.
My 2006 self is overjoyed! I hope Dani comes back too. She was really cool and after Danny saved her she flew off and made a brief cameo in Phantom Planet. I want them to kick ghost ass and take names!
I'm so excited I was always waiting for dark Danny's especially after the end of that episode when his face bent the container. I always expected him to return but he never did so I'm really excited to finally see his return.
I see a lot of comments hoping this leads to the show coming back, but I’d honestly rather see the graphic novel get more volumes! There’s a LOT more freedom in a graphic novel to tell larger/continuous storylines that don’t get restricted by a 21min episodic format. I absolutely LOVED the show growing up but one thing most fans seemed to love was the “potential” of the story and characters, rather than the episodes exactly as they were presented. A graphic novel has a better chance at fulfilling the types of stories fans had always wanted to see be explored with these characters. Dan Phantom is the perfect example of the “potential” fans craved but the series format couldn’t follow through on, I think it’s rather telling that whoever pitched this new comic did so to resolve that episode’s setup of his escape. Fans have been dying to see that plot thread continues! Hopefully this comic does well so it can get more volumes!! 🤩
I agree with you guys. I’ve been waiting for a long time for Danny phantom show returns so I can see Danny and Sam relationship moments, in the college, getting married and having kids with ghost powers
Im excited i always felt like the series ended on a very empty note like there was plans for more but it never came to be. I will FORSURE be reading this
and with that a new window is open, if the comic (because is not manga) its well received, then we can also have a chance that get animated and we will have a new series of our beloved gost kid again
My only concern is that the tone of the comic will be like season 3 and most Danny Phantom fans (including me) will tell you that outside of D-stabilized. The tone and overall writing of season 3 was to put it lightly. An extended Crimson Chin episode from the Fairly Odd Parents and not a very good one at that
@@RaspberryHeart470 unless we get a Hogwarts Legacy bit where people wanna cancel the project despite Hartman having no involvement with development, ultimately being free advertisement rather than a victim of cancel culture
