@everyofyou... River was a great actor but dean had an another level of charisma, talent, style so we can't compare them because they had a generation gap
River, Jonathan Brandis, and Leonardo DiCaprio are the finest men to ever exist. Rest In Peace Jon and river, you two deserved so much better to be honest. Love you, legends never are forgotten!!
@@phrdit7229 I am sadly a fan of many celebrities who's been gone for many many years including River. It makes me really sad and River's life and death makes me the saddest. I know how it feels :(
river is one LITERALLY my husband, two the reason my standards are so high, and three one of the most talented and ethereal people to ever have existed. what an aesthetically pleasing person to look at. also his fluffy hair is just everything
I know right !! Maybe one day his nephew that his named after him, will grow up looking and acting like him hopefully. Cause it’s obvious good looks run in the Phoenix family, or maybe his nephew will try to carry on his legacy like his dad, Joaquin !! ❤️🥺🙏🏾
River is very sweet, pure and intelligent actor. In my heart he will always be their for us as an entertainer. He will be miss, and he will never be forgotten. Love for River
Leo would still be big. No matter how much people were talking about his looks, his huge acting talent overshadowed everything just like River Phoenix.
When I first saw Leo in movies, he always struck me as a discount River Phoenix. Where River had an authentic and magnetic quality, Leo seemed more like the mallrat version. He was a good actor, but you couldn’t help but compare how much he seemed to be “imitating” Phoenix (even if it was pure projection on my part. It took years for me to finally see that Leo was a great actor in his own right. But I’m pretty sure had River lived, he would have continued to get the critical accolades and chose more interesting and complex roles and perhaps Leo would get the B projects. I remember girls were obsessed with River, but he (and Johnny Depp) seemed so uncomfortable as teen idols. Leo felt more like a Jason Priestly type and I’m sure she still would have been successful. Can’t believe River was only 23 when he died.
@@ssa.audrey3402 yup, and he was also supposed to be in “Interview with the vampire” imagine Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and River Phoenix all in their prime in the same movie 😫💕
Soo sad when he died I remember that....funny I was younger when he died and now I can't believe I'm much older now than he was .... Strange how time flys by quickly ...
I wonder something. İs he was very famous at that time or he was just an actor that some people know. I am sorry for my bad english i hope you can undrestand what i want to ask.
Looks like a good movie, I think it is very sad and tragic, he is an exceptional actor in his mannerisms and characterisation and focus and intensity. He is amazing in this role for someone so young and would have been one of the greats. He had his demons and that is ultimately what took his life, maybe he just shone too brightly. And is that actually him playing the piano because he is also exceptional at that.
@@RosieHip24 all the river fans are so salty of leo leo was a better actor in almost everything he did, dont forget leo did gilbert grape when river was alive did river get that role? LOL
Esta pelicula es hecha como la pelicula de the coast mosquito ..es costa de miskitos ..yan miskito razika kumsna significa ( yo soy raza de miskito )..vivo en costa de mosquitia
Really? I just watched it and I see it as obvious that he stays with her since he doesn’t have to keep running with his family anymore and can live his own life now.
I never understood the milk ... if I offer someone a drink it's most likely water unless they say can I have milk. Also if they did ask for milk I would think that was slightly odd.
To the pickle jar that was broken in a campsite in near Yellowknife, and the voicemail from a foster sister who could smell out Pepsi that was hidden in the bottom behind shelf at the green and white that was near close behind Wal-mart. And I saw your babushka
I wonder what Lorna's mom does for work; her dad is a public school teacher... they maybe have generational wealth allowing them the means to live in a massive house with staff and everything, but we don't hear abt it.
Gene Moretti u sound like no one knows what addiction is, check his report. he was clean as fuck if u didn’t notice. he knew how to take care of himself, well no shit hes a human being. theres so much evidence to this shit and yet people say its his fault bc he took dRuGs that night. people that night kept changing their story, for what fucking reason? john frusciante gave him a drink, with hardcore ass drugs. who tf gives a cup to someone and tells them to drink. river trusted so many people.
I’m gonna just state my opinion. I don’t think River was as good as people say, they act like he’s some prodigy. He was clearly forcing that crying in the SBM scene. He’s not bad, but there have been better. Henry Thomas who played Elliot in ET was phenomenal.
people jus thought he was good human being, being actor really has nothing do wit him. he was jus a peaceful man tryna live his life battle his own demons.
He was already, ready at this point to get out. Not only that, his acting chops were there and beginning, as most young actors have. He was good for the time and would have exploded greatly with age, had he lived or inspired to be... wasn't what he wanted though, music was his passion. He grew up uniquely and feeling forced into the business
River Phoenix was on of the most talented actors ever and this was a great movie. But you butchered it with your terrible edits. You did not even let us hear the ending of Fire and Rain! Shame on you. This video is a disgraceful mess. River deserves better than this.
Rahatul Anas it was said in his biography book called last night at the viper room and william richet made video somewhere on the web, go check it out for yourself!
Don't judge from a scene pack made for edits lol. There's more drama in this than it looks. It often cuts him off right before an important line in a lot of them. You should really check him out in My Own Private Idaho or Dogfight or Mosquito Coast. He REALLY shines there But like... what do you expect from a guy who's literally known for making his characters like real people. He doesn't do overdramatic overacting and that's the beauty in his simplicity.
hyped up!??? HYPED UP???? River was a household name in the 80s and now in this generation, very less people knows his name. He is not mainstream and only few people know who River Phoenix is. ALSO, His acting was one of a kind. His roles were diverse, his expressions, he BECAME the very character he was playing. Pretty darn comment coming from a no faced stranger, sitting behind a screen and typing this. You are probably bored and got nothing else to do with your life.
He had a James Dean vibe going on. River was one of my teenage heartthrobs. I loved all his movies. I remember hearing of his passing on the radio. My heart sunk. I was 17.
