Purple is actually a loose reference to "lean" which was made popular, unfortunately, by Houston. They also either got help from our ripped off Screwston FC.
As someone from Houston the jersey actually does a great job repping the hip hope scene. Purple is a big color for rap songs here due to lean originating in Houston and lean is purple. That’s why the uni is purple.
As a Houston Dynamo fan, I am pleased. I saw Danny have a hard time not placing it into top-10 but I'll take 11th. Also, this jersey is jinxing us, 3 games, 3 losses.
I think the Timbers have one of the best jersey combos in the league right now… both kits look amazing. The green plaid is just perfection for me, and I’m so happy with how these new kits look too. I’m not a fan of centered badges but at least it makes sense with the design, so it gets a pass
As a sounders fan I am biased. But I feel that the sounders kit this year is great with the condition you look at it as a fashion piece instead of a jersey.
So, as a Sounders fan, I'll admit I didn't like the Anniversary Kit from the initial promos, and I thought they could've done better with something that mixed elements from their NASL, A-League/USL, and MLS eras. But once I saw it on the field, it quickly started to grow on me. I think it really depends on your ability to tolerate 70s designs, because it sure does embody 70s aesthetics (for better and worse). But then again, my big winner of this year's jerseys is Charlotte's, so I probably just have opinions that run counter. 😅
Totally biased charlotte fan here - I'm usually with you in regards to gradients but I love anything having to do with "all-carolina" so the carolina kit gets a big thumbs up from me
Nailed it on Cincy. The more I see it it grows on me, but it's just a little underwhelming. They just could've done a little more. (Especially since the trim is sick it's just not shown enough)
You need to see the new Seattle jersey in person. The green is a more vibrant green than it looks in the pictures. Especially the one mls posted (wtf mls??)
I’m a Houstonian and a dynamo fan and purple really does represent the hip hop culture here. Most noticeably associated with DJ Screw and The Screwed Up Click and everyone in Houston know exactly why it’s purple. It’s lean, dirty sprite or the color of grape cough syrup but aren’t allowed to say it out loud
I'd have to count how many comment sections I've said that, like Danny, I'm a Fire supporter and as such, I was curious where he ranked them. I expected it to be high because I remember him saying he wanted the red jersey with a white stripe back, but that's cool that it's first.

TFC’s kit… GTA stands for “Greater Toronto Area” and not global. We all call it the GTA over here to represent all the cities surrounding Toronto. I didnt like the kit at first but it’s growing on me, and seeing it on the players it looks much better! Plain yes, but should be higher on the list! Give it time!!!
It's TFC that called it Global Toronto Area kit when they released it, so you'll have to tell that to the club 😂 If you go to the team's website you'll see that in the kit advertisement it's Global.

I just want Adidas to bring back long sleeve jerseys. I should not have to go to Real Madrid or Manchester United just to get a long sleeve jersey. Bring the long sleeve kits back already.
Don’t agree on Inter Miami. On the pitch this shade of pink looks much better than on the previous jerseys. I don’t like collars but that’s personal opinion. But the centralised badge males perfect sense in this case. Symmetrical sponsor logo realy screams for a centralised round badge
I was able to snag a sponsorless RSL jersey and it looks 100x better. There’s a lot going on but it all works until you add a pretty ugly sponsor and it just takes it over the edge imo.
I'm glad someone else said it about the Seattle kits. Maybe it's just because I'm not from the area so I don't share their nostalgia, but it just looks dated and messy. I don't understand the love it's received at all. And I'm happy for your sake the Fire brought back the red. Those fire crown years were absolutely brutal. I think my favorites are Charlotte and Vancouver. The blue and white stripes look great to me, and I love how clean the Whitecaps' navy and gold looks. #DFTID
A little late on this one, usually you drop this week before the season. Also, don’t worry Danny, I don’t like the Seattle kits either. That being said it looks better in person and with the blue shorts…but I still don’t really like the kit.
I live in Minnesota, I love United (although not as much as my first love, the Revolution), and i will say i like almost every shirt this year EXCEPT Minnesota United. And that includes the carryovers from last year. I hate both of Minnesota's.
