swordsmancs its not that funny. Its actually quite common for bayonetta to fight like his. This wasnt even as intense as fighting jubi-..what was it? And the guy who created the eyes of the world? Ya think that wasnt a surprise? Technically it was a Tuesday for both, but Bayonetta sort of was worse then that
They technically are cause devil may cry is made by team little devils and were given the name team little angels when they worked on bayonetta plus Enzo is a character that exists in both games
In the case of the rebellion and Sparda yes, but that’s because of the swords having inherent properties that would give him Sin DT. If Dante takes too much damage though he will fall, stab or otherwise. Why do you think he was put in a coma for a month? Just to take a break? I’ll add that happens after he was amped by Sparda.
@@ThunderChunky101 A lot of people genuinely believe your 1st comment, and I've seen that sentiment many times before. If it's a joke, I have a hard time seeing this.
@@ghostgunace it’s very clearly a joke. Is English not your first language? That’s a genuine question btw, not to sound rude. Most people are taught sarcasm and tone in middle school.
I appreciate how Dante stays true to character in this one, It's kinda rare for Death Battle IMO. The fact that he allows himself to get beaten up and then makes jokes before getting serious really feels right for him
Dante in a odd way heavily resembles Kenpachi in the sense he has to constantly hold back or else there is no enjoyment in the fight. However it seems like one of the big differences is Kenpachi can find fun with weak opponents if he lowers himself to their level. While Dante seems almost bored and has to make a joke to keep interested.
Sparda just Sparda is a good weapon in General Fun fact Sparda is like 80% Force Edge and 20% Scythe/Spear/WhateverTheHellTheTipSwitchesTo so basically yeah its just the tip of the weapon that sparda upgrades of Force Edge oh yeah and Luce & Ombra is also another weapon wielded by AND I QUOTE. *The Legendary Dark Knight Sparda* nobody god damn knows why Trish has them Mostly just me Im stupid
I missed it when they did long and intense death battles like this I mean the new death battles can be intense sometimes but there very short and the mash ups aren’t as good as they used to be due to them stop taking requests from fans
I Always love fighting style of the original Devil May Cry game on the PS2 i wish they add the fighting style of the spin-off version of DmC in the new Devil May Cry 5 though and mix it together with the original game play style with the spin-off version game play but never the Story from DmC because the spin off story sucks
Nah this move is more powergul: SWORDTRICKSWORDTRICKROYALGUASWORDTRICKGUNS -woohoo- TRICKSWORDROYALGUARSWORDTRICKGUNSWORDGUNSTRICKROYALGUARTRICKSWORD-sin devil trigger
8 years later and this is still one of the top animations they've made for sure. The actual animation itself does show it's age a bit with really low detail settings and rigid facial expressions, but the choreography for this death battle is probably some of the best in the series, ESPECIALLY the early portion in the church. It's still really great
Yeah the fight was so good even without the smoothest graphics it still made my pixels go down. Just wish the power scaling was more accurate because they forgot the bayo car feat which shows that she is 101quadrillion times the speed of light so I think bayo would win but excellent fight anyway
So with cutting through dimensions, the implication being made here is the Yamato can essentially cut through anything. I disagree, and there's a lot to contradict this. The numerous times Dante/Rebellion/Red Queen and the Yamato clashed and the aforementioned swords weren't shattered. We now know the rebellion is now destructible and there's no reason to think the Dante sword is also indestructible (though the threshold to break it is likely on par as the Sparda or higher). Lady blocked it with her rocket launcher. Dante stopped it with his hand as Vergil stopped Dante's sword with his hand. Rebellion again clashes with it as Nero wielded the sword. It was encountered fractured in 4. Nero's projectile slash from the Yamato (perhaps on par or stronger than when Dante used it since Nero was able to repair it and it resonated with him) doesn't go through entire buildings as it should if it's slicing power were essentially infinite. Dante had to use bullets to force it through a weakpoint after he jams it in as opposed to just going through with a poke, showing there's resistance. Sanctus outright blocks a projectile slash from Nero's Yamato both with his hand and with his own projectile which terminates in an explosion but leaves the environment intact. Urizen uses the sword to make a shield which can be broken. There's a lot contradicting it's ability to cut through anything. Vergil also never uses the ability to make portals itself as an attack or he would have done so against Dante. He likely doesn't do it because he can't or it just wouldn't be effective compared to using the projectiles yamato has or just using the sword itself directly.
@@earthquakewilliam7380 to be fair bayonetta only has unlocked half her power yet she could already beat god. plus considering she is COMPLETLEY mortal (problably spelled that wrong) and dante has magical demon angel regeration, its not completley fair. plus, madama butterlfies attacks are mesured in gigatons. 10 gigatons alone can wipe out THE ENTIRE NORTHERN HEMMISPHERE
Cutting through dimensions really hampers healing factors, I guess. Then again, Bayonetta would have lost all of her powers one Madamma Butterfly was killed, so she was fucked either way.
I really enjoyed the Ryu/Jin fight, but even after all these years I think this may possibly be the best Death Battle ever made. The action transitions are so smooth even a few of the quick weapon switches by Dante were so flawless they’re easy to miss if you aren’t paying close attention.
That would be cheating, technically. Jeanne and Trish showing up was just a fun moment, but this was a 1 V 1. They can’t fight together unless the video is stated to be a 2 V 2 (like the Jak & Daxter Vs. Ratchet & Clank video).
A friend of mine put it best: "Yeah. For Bayonetta, that's the godlike demonic being that is the sole source of her powers as a witch. For dante, it's just another reason to have a cool 'demon weapon aquired' cutscene" That analysis is pretty on point.
Bayonetta had powers before meeting Butterfly. It's a requirement in order to even attempt a contract. They have to be proficient in their abilities or they can't really make a contract. This video also had Dante be immortal when no such thing is ever established in the series and implied Bayonetta could only take the same damage as a normal person could, which is blatantly false. See 10:12 to 10:30 for some examples.
Looking back at this, this was so wild when you remember this was teased and came out literally right after Bayonetta joined Smash and took over the internet from how OP she was in that game. As if they knew how to mess with their audience
Something told me to come back to this beautifully created death battle between Dante and Bayonetta. Thank you so much for this. Even though I enjoyed both franchises duking it out with each other, the ending was unexpected.
I can’t say it was. Lorewise Dante has bigger and better feats and skills that allowed him to endure this battle and get the W. Witu all of Bayonetta’s tricks and tools, she has no real work around through his durability and his speed.
I think it’s hilarious how in most death battles, if just one of the fighters speaks up, they can avoid a fight. For example, if Dante just tells bayonetta that he HUNTS demons while being part demon himself, there would be a chance that they would decide not to fight. I don’t know why, I just find it really funny.
*Nero comes back to Fortuna City shortly after the fight* Dante: Oh hey, Nero, what's up? Nero: I left you in charge of the city for one day, Dante. ONE DAY
After reading this a week ago I find myself just thinking of all the different ways this conversation would go. And to the outside world looking in seeing me just space out for a few moments just to start laughing uncontrollably I must look insane lolol
@@blackster5240 Simple. Dante could fight with mundus in dmc1,who could destroy infinite universes and destroy the hell,in dmc5 he is WAAAAAAAAAAY stronger than in dmc1. +Dante is 9D
@@blackster5240 Simple. Dante is 9D, which makes him Complex Multiversal. Even without the 9D feat/statement, I'm pretty sure Dante still wins, because if you've read the DMC2 Novel, you'll know he would be on an utterly different level than how the games depict him and the others. Character keys: Chen the Cannibal (70% of Sparda's power) Void Mundus (Most powerful version of Mundus) The Beastheads (Probably the most haxy demon in the franchise) Dante (The one who beat them all)
yeah but that wasnt queen sheeba. that was madama. queen sheeba is twenty times more powerful and they compltley forgot about her. also couldnt bayo just travel back in time BEFORE she dies to help her past self out
First he whips it out He thrusts it in Then with great force Every angle It penetrates! Until with strength He rams it in! And in the end we are all satisfied 20:50 And you are set free! One sided victory for Dante!

@@ghostgunace Royal Guard is not a passive it requires speed and precision dante didn't even use royal guard against Urizen in their first encounter Urizen just speed blitz him and then one shoted him Royal guard later works against a much powerful Urizen so please do your research
@@memesoonofthememesofdestru1002 I know what royal guard does. Most people who bring up Royal Guard do it with the implication that Dante can be untouchable because he can block anything in the game provided it's timed and therefore theoretically be undefeatable. I bring up Urizen he beats Dante, and therefore shows that he is still fallible despite having royal guard. Otherwise people assume that Dante can block any and all of Bayonetta's attacks when there's no basis for this, and they often don't do the reverse (Bayonetta dodging all of Dante's attacks to be untouchable, her using her own guard etc.) There's also the fact that Dante clearly gets hit multiple times, and even in gameplay if Dante is caught within a grab, he can't block the ensuing damage.
@@ghostgunace Not really you can bypass royal guard if you’re faster then Dante because it requires SPEED and precision too bad bayonetta really couldn’t match him in speed Buddy what’re you talking about Dante gets hit multiple times, yes it’s either he doesn’t care, takes it like a champ, or is speed blitz by (Vergil and Urizen) Also again what? You can royal guard everything even grabs in DMC3 you can royal guard nevan’s kiss and in DMC5 you can royal guard enemy grabs and even boss grabs And in DMC4 in the higher difficulties, Dante can perfectly royal guard against Nero’s grab(Buster)
@@memesoonofthememesofdestru1002 *”it requires SPEED and precision too bad bayonetta really couldn’t match him in speed”* But she can though. The video used an outlier to justify Dante’s speed, but Bayonetta managed to catch a satellite that fell from space. If the satellite fell from geosynchronous orbit to her on earth in seconds and she could react to it when it’s just in front of her, this feat would beat Dante’s. Otherwise if we’re not considering outliers in terms of base speed they are roughly equal, but Bayonetta has stronger time manipulation. *” Buddy what’re you talking about Dante gets hit multiple times, yes”* Read my first comment. We’re talking in context of royal guard. *”You can royal guard everything even grabs in DMC3”* In 3 yes. In 5 if you get hit by an initial grab, the ensuing attack can’t be blocked. And in 4 when Nero fights Dante, you can buster arm (grab) through royal guard, yes even through higher difficulties. Go watch accountingnightmare DMD on mission 10, she explains it and does it there.
But we’re not sure if that Bayonetta is Little Cereza or the Bayonetta we met in 1 or 2. We also don’t know if Bayo 1&2 take place in different universes.
@@ghostgunace Also some of her alternate versions of her have shown to be equally as powerful as her and those alternate versions have shown how easily Bayonetta can get defeated.
+Aoru Well they are part of Rooster Teeth now. Compare the first episodes of RWBY to the latest episodes. I'm guessing whatever changes they made there are being carried over to Death Battle.
+Chuksie Abani environment too, but the rigging/animation/choreography is still quite a step up. Not enough to compete with AAA studios, but still worlds beyond what you'd think a you-tube channel could produce in any reasonable amount of time. +Enigma1788 that would explain it. Had no idea they are part of RT now.
+GrandRiser When, at the start of the battle, Bayonetta locked her thighs around Dante and they had a small shoot out fest - it's the same footage from the 1st time when Dante fought with Nero in DMC4.
To be fair, he *did* have his Majin form from DMC2 (and, technically, also from the DMC3 prequel manga). He just didn't use it in this fight. Which is just as likely. As it would have made his fight one-sided.
because he was against sephiroth a being that can create a supernova vs vergil. its not really equal footing altho with SDT now he can prolly resist a supernova
@@ajuadelaajua They used a composite Seph, therefore we should use a composite Vergil, meaning we take his Nelo Angelo feats into account. Therefore hes at bare minimum universal. Universal feat > supernova = Vergil slams even back then. Now with his new abilites in 5, he completely slams.
minor context: Vergil and Dante are both multiversal. Idk if low-multi or complex multi, but def not just uni but multi. Nero would also scale to them.
I predict that in bayonetta 3 Dante will show up at some point, maybe as a post credit stinger or hell maybe even run into bayonetta while their in the underworld and he helps her escape
Why do people have this misconception about Bayonetta have a strong enough regen skill to counter Dante’s abilities? Every game shows that she has a limit. Especially the third one that shows if she takes too much damage she’ll fall. Dante has yet to show his limit.
@@ghostgunace that five month coma when his body was self sustaining and he was literally unharmed? Even the atmosphere it’s self did nothing to him and he woke up as if he was just taking a nap. If this was his limit as you say it was then he wouldn’t have survived for a whole month. He would’ve withered away without any sort of sustenance. There’s a correct way to analyze a scene and I don’t think you’re doing it correctly. Just out of curiosity did you even play any of the games? Cause this is the type of response that comes from someone who didn’t play the games but just looked up the scenes without any context.
@@ghostgunace btw that was his base form. He didn’t have any sort of ampage from that scene. The only ampage he got was after the chapter where he gets the dsd. I don’t mind having a convo with you but If you’re gonna make these bad faith arguments I’ll definitely call you out and correct you.
@@FaustDr Nothing here was debunked. We know that Dante was put into a coma. That's a fact, and a literal plot point in 5. It's why V beforehand had to go find Nero, because he correctly predicted Dante would lose and Dante lost while he was in devil trigger, basically as he was when he fought Mundus. What is there to debunk?
You know the most expensive "house"(its a 2 billion dollar skyscraper) is in india and has a entire temple build in. No small cathedral a temple statues and all. So its not to unrealistic
The dialogue is so on point with their personalities in this, the choreography is astounding, the music is fitting, the abilities are so smooth when they use them, the camera angles are superb, and even the models look decent. So why do they keep using pixel characters XD lol
Good question ^^ because it's just fantastic I know, but to make something like this from scratch is a lot of work I imagine... The point was to show the battle's likely outcome, and I'd say they did more than okay ^^
6 years later and still one of their most well-made Death Battles in my opinion. I hope they do another rematch with their new powers that they gained.
Oh gawd. Nero already went toe to toe with his dad, that got even more powerful, despite his mother being a NORMAL(still unsure) human. I can't imagine the child's power level once he/she reaches adulthood plus inheriting it's parents powers.
Is see a white haired witch wielding dante's sword, while dancing in the air with guns for heels, using her hair like whips, and when she use her devil trigger she would grow to 30 ft tall and kill every demon on sight, and her parents smile from a far proud of what she'd become. Or a he pick its your choice.
Dante and Vergils respective death battles would be insane when DMC 6 comes out, as they'll have all their DMC 5 feats, as well as spending the entire game gap going nothing but fighting demons and sparring.
Fun fact : I didn't know who Dante was befor this video came out 4 years ago. Now he's my favorite video game character of all time and own most of the games and watched the anime
Sorry to ask like this but what even is Royal guard? I’m assuming the basic premise is that you can block attacks but how does it work? Is it just purely a block increase or is it something else because I feel as if Death Battle explained this but I wasn’t paying attention 😥
I'd be surprised if they actually do a rematch with these characters with the new upgrades with dante from devil may cry 5 and Bayonetta from Bayonetta 3. This would definitely be the ultimate test between these characters going fully all-in in their fight.
To the Bayo fans out there that are still trying to respectfully debate their points, I respect you. I may disagree with you at times, but I still respect you. Obviously with this being an anonymous comment section people are going to engage each other in a pretty juvenile fashion at times(both Bayo and DMC fans are doing this, I am definitely not going to pretend the DMC fandom I am a part of is not also contributing to this, it's unfortunately the nature of fandoms), but for the love of all that is holy could we stop with all the "Poisoning the Well" fallacy posts. It's very basal manipulation that is easily seen through by those familiar with logical fallacies, I am especially noticing this more and more from Bayo fans lately(Fellow DMC fans, if you're doing this, I'd advise stopping it as well). Debate with clear logical points, but don't propagate fallacies such as this one, as it only serves to undermine your own credibility and your own fandom's credibility in the eyes of others as it shows that you are unable to present solid evidence to support your opinion and instead have to rely on manipulating a narrative around your opposition.
