The Danube is the favorite part of Budapest, which has all the major touristic attractions along its length. Also, the famous bridges of Budapest are across the Danube River. This is why walking along the Danube is a favorite activity here in Budapest.
I started from Fovém tér and walked to the Hungarian parliament building. All along my walk, I enjoyed a fresh breeze from the Danube river.
The Danube banks are also a popular spot to watch the sunset and relax in the evening time. Moreover, the road along the Danube at the Pest side is open for pedestrians to walk, and also offers colorful benches to sit and chill.
There are plenty of options for river cruises as well if you are interested in it. they last for an hour and I recommend reserving the river cruise for the sunset as the sky shows its best colors then.
