Danville Boyle County Kentucky Small Town. Big History
Boats, Brass, and Brazilian Rum. Our Boyle County episode will highlight
some Of central Kentucky’s little-known treasures including the historic town of Danville and the
Dix River which forms Herrington Lake, home to Kentucky’s first reservoir that powers not only
the surrounding areas through hydroelectricity, but ignites the hearts of boaters, kayakers, and
jet ski enthusiasts.
Along the way we’ll hear and see the spectacle that is the Great American Brass Band Festival;
visit the Blue Rook Distillery and sample some regional cuisine and a “smoked” Old-Fashioned
at Copper and Oak.
