I have been waiting for this video. I am commenting before I watch so curious how your take will be. But I have been enjoying the questyle m15 a lot, sounds surprisingly good with the hd6xx. The m15 has a bit of a forward sound but is quite energetic. I also like the mojo2, it gives a more enveloping soundstage and a bit smoother (tube like?) overall. A bit more polite. So I do find the m15 and mojo2 quite different sounding but both enjoyable in different ways if that makes sense. I tried the ifi go bar but I found the m15 suited my taste better.

nice work.... I have a question, that whether a dac dongle like M15, RU6 etc replace a DAP, if compared solely on the bases of sound quality only? and in an A/B test, without knowing the source, is the difference noticeable easily? regards

I think this depends, we will have to categorise what price point, we’re talking about Daps against a $4000 luxury and precision T6 pro hell, no LOL But if we’re talking about the DAP on the $500, even $700, I will say yes because you have the good software of your phone to back it up as well Not only that, but M 15 draws very little power, which I have found fantastic for long-term usage

Dear Koji, thank you for this tier guide. Very useful! May I ask you to take into consideration to review the Cayin RU6 and the Cayin C9 somewhere in the future. I think these are really unique and exquisit portable audio devices which could excite you and your audience 😃

@@ConvinceMeAudio Oh yes, you are right! Also a very intersting mobile device. With their own Delta Sigma programmed Chip and the whole filters and EQ-Functions in this little dongle, it could genuinely be something unique as well...great!

Pared with the 2go definitely With out? Section, I like Mojo more but as a whole unit yes it’s the next step up with to go, it’s insane

If you actually watch the video, you know that is in the case, there’s a reason why the tier list has got categories, each one is good for the category they are placed in, I don’t review bad products There are other reviewers that concentrate on very bad product for review for views, I don’t like to waste my time on it, I only review products that have a decent chance of survival in the hobby, though it might not be for everybody Thank you LOL for dropping by

I think you have utterly misunderstood the ranking system, that’s the problem Somebody who is looking for the lower tier is not going to look at the Hyatt here choose your price category, per the timeline and chapters, then you might have a vague idea of how it works

@@ConvinceMeAudio Don't take it badly, it's humor more than anything else. But if you listen carefully, you use the word "fantastic" for every product, or nearly, whatever the tier they belong to. It made me smile.

@@sanchomill oh I didn’t, don’t worry, text sometimes comes across that way But what I do want to have come across correctly is the categories, lo-fi, mid- fiand flagship For each of these categories, the ranking is the same A to S The best and worst of each category, but yes I have to be careful about that LOL I never script any of my reviews it’s all done off of the cuff Except the outline and what needs to go into it, it’s all from memory LOL. I hope you can bear with me

I usually like your reviews but this ranking list is not very inforamtive. Hard to believe that almost all of them gets an 'A' or an 'S', Even if the list is splited by price. And it will also be nice to know what are the criteria for each rank, because for example I would guess that the gap between the apple dongle and the m15 will be quite large, but from the ranking it doesn't seems so. Maybe I'm wrong though.

You’re looking at a tear list, or a guide, not in the right way it’s not a review It’s basically if you happen to come across one of these dongle, de AP, amplifier, et cetera what is their strengths and what category of quality would they come under This is not a shootout or a review If you want in-depth analysis, check out the reviews for these units, I hope that’s been of some help It’s basically a rough guide for people to avoid things better things in mind or to buy certain things

@@ConvinceMeAudio I can see your point, I just think that its hard to get what good and what's bad from a tier list video where almost everything is good. After all the idea of tier list is to list what's good and what's bad I Apologize if the comment seems negative, I just wanted to raised a point as a viewer. I mostly enjoy your reviews for headphones as well as those for source gear, your doing great job and thanks for that

@@avichayt9373 don’t worry, I did not see the comment as criticism I usually create my lists from the things that come through here, and we’ve not really had too many bad ones, if they were terrible ones, I would’ve put it in the categories mentioned I think that’s what it comes down to. The majority of them have been pretty fricking decent. 😀

Surprisingly the Apple dongle is really good. The m15 sounds better to me but not dramatically better depending into the iem or headphone. As usual it the law of diminishing returns. Although I do find that small improvement in sound worth the price of the m15, but that what everyone should decide for themselves. I can find two pieces of equipment sounding different but still like the sound of both of them.
