I've actually grown to love the black and red contrast covers, even along side the other omnis. I had bought the companion first because it was easier to find but finally scored this one on Ebay last week, maybe my favorite run in all of comics and worth every penny.
cant wait for the reprint. just started collecting Omnis mid last year. and reading again hardcore after like 20 odd years. I still have a bunch of Daredevil paperbacks. So keen to read this! looks and sounds amazing!
Early on in this run I remember Miller saying he suggested Black Widow for the (Elektra) role and Marvel informed him he wasn't "going to kill the Black Widow." Even at this early stage Miller had to know creating a bombastic character like Elektra was a gift that would keep on giving. Just not necessarily him.
Yeah all omnibus editions are oversized hardcovers, slightly bigger dimensions than a comic/trade paperback. With very few exceptions, I've never had any serious issues with the binding on any Marvel omnibuses
I decided I wanted to read Miller DD but I have this thing about starting from the beginning and I am on omnibus 2 of the silver age so close yet so far
Yeah that's quite a way to go before reaching Miller...one thing about reading it like that though is it will be very clear and noticeable when you do get there just how much Miller impacted and changed the series
@@TheComicBookTroveoh yes it’s very apparent that DD was another animal from Miller on. I really enjoyed the silver age stuff also at first it was a spidey rip off but the differences are more apparent later on,
