DAREDEVIL SEASON 1 EPISODE 11 - 13 *MOVIE REACTION/COMMENTARY* 

In my opinion these Marvel series brought to life two of some of the most terrifying villains I'd ever seen onscreen: Wilson Fisk, and no spoilers, the villain in Jessica Jones. Fisk is SO complex and so artfully portrayed by Vincent D'Onofrio (who thankfully is a nice person in real life, so I've read, haha), so it's no wonder that we feel complex emotions about him!

I completely understand being under Wilson’s thrall 😅; and I believe it’s 100% due to Vincent D’Onofrio’s talent! I first came across him in the early 2000’s in Law & Order: Criminal Intent…he just commands the screen and can add nuance to a character in small yet compelling ways - truly a gem! also RIP to your chair 😂 hopefully it’s been fixed or replaced!

By the end, Wilson Fisk is yet again facing the "same wall" that his father made him stare at as a punishment when he was a child.

Wilson Fisk is a very compelling villain when written correctly - which was done here in the Daredevil series. Vincent D'Onofrio gives us a very nuanced and brilliant performance. I like that you noticed how Karen Page popped more rounds into Wesley than needed. Without spoiling things, there is more depth behind not just her, but all the characters in the show. These character arcs will be explored more as the show continues. The Netflix Daredevil series are some of the last of old school Marvel story telling. I hope you are planning to watch the rest of the Netflix Marvel Universe (at least some of it) because there is some more great story telling to be had. These series all connect and should be watched in release order. Unfortunately, the old school Marvel talent was being drummed out just like what happened in the MCU. Some of the Netflix series' did suffer in quality as a result. The best of the Netflix series were Daredevil (all of it), The Punisher (all of it), & Season 1 of Jessica Jones. Affected but still "ok" were The Defenders, Seasons 2 & 3 of Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. At the bottom was Iron Fist. This is a real shame because all these shows had so much more potential. I'd say watch all of it and judge for yourself what you liked. Everyone has a different opinion.

I get it. Wilson is such an amazing character. He has a spell on me too. He's so suave and debonair. 😂 Good or bad I just love interesting tortured souls. When you go to the punisher series you'll see he's another beautiful but broken character.
