The fact they relied on one man as much as they did and fired him is kinda sad, like first you should have redundancies for the role he filled, second the fact they fired him just because of a personal grudge is just pathetic
I like how they used his knowledge of the demon army as an explanation for his defeating them instead of opting out as "he was just stronger than the other guys".
@@SlicedBread2014 Of course, but this is a far more nuanced way of beating a group of people instead of just bulldozing through them and winning because plot ahah
Maybe it's because all I see is this clip, but it doesn't really feel that different from him just taking all the attacks like they're nothing because he stronk. I mean, there is something to be said for giving an actual explanation to a character's power. I guess I've just seen so much magical/supernatural/technological/etc. over the top anime combat that it's all kind of starting to meld together regardless of the quality of the available explanations or lack thereof.
@@premiumheadpats4150 The thing is that yes, he is stronger, but he's also using strategy to exploit their openings instead of just overwhelming them anyway. He didn't actually take any of the attacks because he targeted each specific group before their incantations completed, like hitting an archer before their bow is drawn. So while you aren't entirely wrong, the execution is better because it does have clearly-defined logic to it.
It normally wouldn't be. He may be stupid strong but how many would also know exactly how much time is standard to cast for each type and be able to read who was casting what? Normally the best that could be done in that situation is taking out a mere fraction before the rest finished. But our boy is both hero level strong and so intimately aware of how demons wage war that even 100 of them is not a problem for him.
You could take out the army... or you could take out the single guy who had to threaten said army with a painful death to attack in the first place. I know what I'd choose.
I miss the days when animes had the balls where the MC would just cut the guys head or split the enemies bodies in half with one swing instead of letting them live. Berserk was way ahead of its time.
Most of the isekai protags are just betas unfortunately. Cid Kagenou in the currently airing "The Eminence in Shadow" also doesn't mind killing off foes so not all hope is lost ig
I like the characters that start off with the “killing is bad” mentality and they find out that killing is the only way to save the ones they care about. The one I really like is Shu from guilty crown, not the best anime ever but it’s definitely one of my personal favorites. More anime protagonists with a little development plz I beg.
You're missing the context here. First of all, the soldiers were all his former comrades. The only reason he's wearing a mask is because he doesn't want them to recognize him. Secondly, the soldiers weren't attacking because they wanted to. On the contrary they explicitly didn't want to. But they were forced to follow orders. Killing an enemy in a life or death situation is one thing, but that's not what they are.
Ahead? AHEAD?? Hokuto no Ken, Devilman, BioBooster Armour Guyver, Urotsokudoji, Devillady, and thats just the ones I can remember from the 80's off the top of my head
Have you spent your time writing anything better? Did you manage to have something you created get drafted and turned into an animated product? No? Ah, well-- maybe next time you can dedicate effort and skill into writing a better comment into the nuances of anime once you've worked up the ability to criticize, and have the slightest bit of knowledge to back up said criticism.
@@iemier You do not have to produce a form of media to have an opinion on it or to criticize it. As someone who DOES write and HAS created things, shove it. Quit shilling. You'll never get a single thing from doing so.
@@iemier lol so in order to have a opinion on anime we need to write anime. who knew. 😂😂😂😂 the bar is so high. side note this was like watching slideshows. idk how ya enjoy this
@@iemier You a chef bro? If not don't ever complain about any food served to you. If someone serves you a steaming pile of garbage, you better smile and eat up that entire plate.
