Darius Garland is smooth. Great handles. Shifty as hell. Very crafty scorer. When he gets cutoff, he has other moves in his bag prepared for that like his step backs. He reminds me of Kemba and Lillard with his ball handling and craftiness. He would be a starter on championship team imo. I can definitely see him being in the ROY conversation next season
Garland is the better fit. If we don't get Zion or Barrett, trade back and take Garland. Our offense runs better with Archi instead of Dunn because Dunn can't shoot 3's, protect the ball, or make passing plays but Archi does. While Morant is a really good passer and scorer, he can't shoot and he is reckless with the ball.. Garland can shoot lights out from 3, and takes care of the ball better. Would have like to see him have higher assists but I think he would improve there being surrounded by all the Bulls Scorers... wow, when was the last time as a Bulls fan could we say we had a number of scorers... lol
Jack Campbell yep Garland and Hunter is who I like but especially Garland. We got to keep an eye on Reddish and Nassir Little too. Don’t like Culver he’s no Bradley Beal just seems like a solid SG. You can’t take Bol Bol with him being injury prone like Ingram may affect trade packages even with the upside.
FJO 9 I don’t know about Garland... I think he’ll be decent but as a PG in college he had more Turnovers than Assists.. I don’t like that.. Hunter is a good defender, slasher and 3pt shooter... literally the best combination to play with Lebron.. he got good enough size to play 2-4.. they could try and trade ingram and others for a true star too if they did that.
I would have a hard time picking between Ja and Garland. Ja is more athletic and better passer but Garlnd has the better handles and is a way better shooter.
RileyGarver Sure shooting can be improved but I’m a believer some players just have a certain knack for 30 foot jumpers, off the dribble/pull-ups that can’t be taught.

I for J ' the numbers don’t have to be there to show great passing ability lol. Bron is probably the best passer in the league right now but he doesn’t lead the league in assists. He’s just saying how good his ability is to pass

@@robertpuentes3220 I am a huge fan of Auburn Basketball so I watch a lot of SEC basketball games and when I saw Darius Garland play for Vanderbilt I said to my now deceased little brother ... he's gonna be a good one in the NBA 1 day in the near future !! He certainly hasn't disappointed but I think he deserves way more respect than he's getting! As for Ja Morant I saw his legendary status on full display when he made 2 visits to the state of Alabama during his career at Murray State and he dunked on Alabama's whole team as well as dunking on Auburn's too!! That dude is electric with the ball in his hands!

The Lakers moving up only bettered their chances of getting AD. And as much as I'd love to see this guy in a Lakers uniform it won't happen. They'll reopen trade negotiations, put another package together including the 4th pick, and ask the pelicans who they want them to draft. Any REAL Lakers fan in these comments would rather have a proven Anthony Davis than an unproven rookie.
Monta Ellis type that can get stats but don't produce wins. Not sure he can carry a team. Not a franchise type talent. No elite skills, intangiblea or measurables. A Lou Will type 6th Man role.
DonKJB Monta Ellis is not a good comparison. But him being Lou Williams isn’t bad especially since it looks like Garland will be a better playmaker. Monta Ellis was a scorer not really a shooter if you know what I mean.
His injury is really gonna hold him back. He certainly has great athleticism, but a serious injury such as a torn meniscus will hurt him a lot. I don’t think the Bulls should draft him for that reason because they are desperate for a healthy new prospect.

LaDarius Grant Nassir Little is solid too. Depends if Garland is healthy he’s a nice fit you could play him with Lonzo in the backcourt. He can create, score and shoot. Than there’s also Reddish who’s shooting is gonna help too. But there’s a lot of questions about his toughness. The other guys u mentioned do bring toughness plus defense and Culver is a solid SG. Lakers scouting group gonna need to do a lot of work. But if that AD deal is there trade it for sure.
I like Garland a lot. He doesn't appear to be as quick as Morant but he's a better shooter in a small sample size of 5 college games. The Lakers can use an outside shooter but will he be able to immediately impact the team on offense and defense? The Lakers major issue after Zo got hurt was the poor defense. BI and Kuz could score with Lebron, but they lacked the defensive intensity necessary to win. If Zo is traded and Garland is the starting point guard, will a line up with Garland be effective on the defensive end since he is undersized at 6'2 and 175lbs? Zo came in thin at 6'6 and 190lbs and that's the reason he suffered injuries. Both Zo and Garland have had torn meniscus. Garland is coming into the league with this surgery before playing 1 NBA game. Since he is coming into the NBA, still undersized, will this knee injury present a problem for a 82 game season? Unless they plan on trading Garland, these are the questions the Lakers organization need to be asking? Will Garland be able to hold up in an 82 game season when we've already experienced Zo missing NBA games last year with a similar injury?
