In this video, I will share my experience of travelling to Darjeeling in May 2024 from Kolkata.
I will show my experience of travelling to NJP from Sealdah by AC first class of newly inaugurated LHB coach of Uttar Banga Express.
I will share a review of 'Hotel Olive' situated on Nehru road Darjeeling which is situated directly opposite to Glenary's Darjeeling and offers great mountain views.
I will also take you to Darjeeling Mall and show you our road trip from Siliguri to Darjeeling and share current rates of cars in this video.

তোমার ভিডিও এই কারণেই দেখতে ভালো লাগে যে, যেটা সত্যি সেটাই খোলাখুলি বল, কোনো ভনিতা নেই। অনেক ব্লগার আছে, যারা খারাপ অভিজ্ঞতা face করলেও চেপে যায়, যেটা অনুচিত। কিন্তু তুমি খারাপ টাকেও এত সুন্দর করে বুঝিয়ে দাও, তাতে viewers দের সুবিধা। আশীর্বাদ করি, তুমি এভাবেই আরো এগিয়ে যাবে।

I tried booking in Olive Hotel about 2 months back for the time just after Durga Puja, but unfortunately there is no vacancy even at that time. This is probably one of the best hotel in Darjeeling considering the location and the hotel ambience.

এন.জে.পি থেকে পেলিং মাত্র ৪ থেকে সাড়ে ৪ ঘন্টার রাস্তা। দার্জিলিং যেতেই প্রায় ৩ ঘন্টা লাগে। আর সান্দাকফু যারা যাবেন তারা হয় সরাসরি টংলু বা তুমলিং হয়ে যাবেন অথবা পুরোটা পায়ে হেঁটে‌ যাওয়ার ইচ্ছে হলে ধোতরে তে একদিন থেকে পরদিন যাত্রা শুরু করবেন। টংলু‌ যেতে সময় লাগবে ৪ ঘন্টার মতো আর ধোতরে ও তাই। সন্দাকফু , পেলিং - এ যাওয়ার সাথে‌ লেইট হওয়ার কি সম্পর্ক ?

The location of Hotel Olive is excellent! Room is okay. However, too many steps.. it looked like from the street level approximately 30+ steps to go to the room .. so up and down would be 60 steps. Minimum 3 trips ( lunch, dinner, sight seeing ) would be 180-200 steps per day! Not just the elderly people…. Many wouldn’t opt for this daily exercise unless they enjoy doing stairs😊

You seem to be very knowledgeable about Darjeeling. I’ve never been to Darjeeling, although I’ve been to practically every hill station in Europe and the US, reason being I’ve lived out of India all my adult life. Now I’m very interested to see Darjeeling; as a Bengali, it’s a must visit, I feel! My hotel related confusion is a snag to just pack the bags! I was thinking of Wyndham by Ramada. The hotel will be good, I know because it’s a good brand; but is the location good? Walking distance to the Mall?

Two finer tips : Indrive দিয়ে এনজেপি/বাগডোগরা থেকে ২.৫ হাজারে আরামসে ৪ seater ঠিকঠাক গাড়ি পাওয়া যায়। প্লিজ check the hotel Villa everest on Gandhi road (exclusive place) thru Agoda etc। Superb hotel, food(Chinese, Korean ... way better than Kunga) and rooms @৪৫০০/-। নিজস্ব অভিজ্ঞতা।। And Writam, nice cool vlog as usual!
