After leaving behind beautiful Sikkim, I drove to Darjeeling, The Queen Of Hills. And it is called so for a reason. You will find a string of mountains creating a fascinating backdrop, no matter where you go in Darjeeling. The Kanchenjunga obviously is the cherry on the cake!
But in this vlog I've put together my suggestions for places you must visit, cafes/ restaurants to eat at and and a great hotel to stay at! If you are short on time or want to nit-pick some of the BESTS the town has to offer, then this vlog will surely help you. Plan your day from the morning in this order of my itinerary and you'll be able to cover maximum places in limited time!
DAY 01
- Arrive in Darjeeling
- Check in the hotel & rest (Check my video for the hotel with the BEST view. Ask the hotel for a balcony room!)
- Head to Kunga Restaurant for lunch (dish suggestions in video)
- In the evening head to explore the Mall Market around this hotel
DAY 02
- Wake up at 3:45am & head to Tiger Point for sunrise
- Come back to your hotel & rest for a while
- Head to Glenary's Cafe for an English breakfast
- Visit a tea estate
- Visit a Tibetan Refugee Camp near tea estate (you can buy great local souvenirs here)
- Take a toy train ride
- Visit Japanese Peace Pagoda
