For most of the year, I live alone in an isolated house (not a cabin like that above) in the deciduous backwoods of Arkansas. During our rainy seasons, the light rain sounds much like the rain in this video. The dark, contemplative cello and piano capture the combination of the mood of rainy evenings and the solitude of the location beautifully.

Hey im from Arkansas too. But i dont get the pleasure of being in solitude. Im saving my money though so i may one day get solitude so i can finally start truly working on myself.

I envy you! By the way, since you are into that sort, have you ever read the Mayflower books of black magic stories (ed. by Michel Parry)? I recommend. I love those old paperbooks with yellow pages and a lovely smell of old dark stuff ;)

What is truly awesome is when it rains with a high wind. The trees around my house are 40-50 feet tall and rather slender with branches that don't spread out very far.
