@@Barbooian Just wanna say how amazing and informative this vid. I myself have played since #1 or #2 playtest way back and it's still amazes how big a differences ur spacing and aim of ur atks can make a difference in combat. I think thats one of my fav parts about the combat in the game, precision and spacing of ur swings matter alot more than ppl think. Well that is until I swapped over to dual wield plate fighter with rondel dagger. Now I just sprint until I get right up to them then just shank em with no worries on how close I am until they dead. 😂💀 Im not surprised if rondel is gonna get nerfed in the near future. Its the reason falchions are dirt cheap atm, cuz everyone knows rondel dps just reigns supreme over all. 👌
I'm not joking when I say I was looking for good informational dark and darker content only 2 days ago, ran across a video of yours and couldn't bare to watch it because of the sound quality. (I'm a bit autistic) I am so glad you have an upgrade because other than that it looked like a good video and I'm very keen to learn!
They need to rework daggers. It's hard to block, impossible to parry and requires little skill. Why is it so strong right now? Because your opponent can't space easily (too fast) and can't outplay. As barb you can achille and space, but if he blocks you're done until it comes back up. It's uni dimentionnal and feels like a stat check. In the meantime, fighters shouldn't be allowed to use daggers if they have plate. Unrealistic, but better for the game. I think weapons being equipped shouldn't slow as much, for every two handed melee weapon, and hitting too. Idk. Game is weird from the get go with how it's played, it's hard to balanced but I don'T feel they are doing a great job tbh. Great video though!
I feel like pdr does nothing. Can you do a video on that? Especially in 25- lobbies, armor is worthless. I feel like that’s why you see so many nakeds in -25. Not because move speed is king, but because it literally makes little to no difference armor or not. Yea you take less damage, but until you get blue armor or something you’re still a 3 shot; and it takes almost double the pdr to make you 4-5 shot. So anything between 20-30% pdr is worthless, unless you can get 40% pdr you’re not doing yourself any good because you’re still a 3 shot until you get to that next armor bracket.. not sure if this fully makes sense but I basically feel like pdr isn’t good unless your 125+
Your guides are insanely good. I wish rondel daggers could only be used on wizard and rogue. You're too adorable, I have to stop watching to save my heart.
It's just for information on "how to hit the weapon" to know if you need to be precise (piercing / thrusting) if you are going to deliver broad blows (sharp / blunt). Perhaps subsequently, there will be a real impact from the different types of damage. The game is still only in beta.
