Timestamps in the description! Please like and subscribe if this helped I will say PDR wasn't as common when I grinded Demigod, so consider squeezing Armor penetration rolls into the build if you can as well
could you do a video on how to get to demi god on all different characters? ive been playing mostly rogue but having loadout info as well as knowing where to farm would be really appreciated!
The magical power on that copperlight tunic does increase your magical healing by a slight bit, so its not entirly useless. Also blue lizard content creator lets go!
Will is an overlooked stat on non-casters, offering MR and Buff/Debuff duration aside from increasing spell damage. This benefits melees a lot, especially if you're using buff skills. Leather gloves are very much alright in that sense.
If you spawn in the Demon Mouth module, you can not clear the demon bats and still make it out alive, you need to bait them (make them aggro you) and hide for a few seconds until they go back to their flying spot, they will be bugged and won't aggro you except if you're really close (you can always make it out following this). This said, DO NOT hit them at all costs, this will force their aggro onto you and they'll never stop aggroing you.
You can also open the map in the Steam overlay fyi. It's not quite as convenient, but still a good alternative for those of us working with one monitor.
Absolute. Banger. Video. My man i applaud you for the effort of editing recording and writing the script for this vid. This is by far the best explained demigod level up vid out there ❤
Thanks! Honestly I'm still trying to get my voice to a spot that I think is best. I feel it's a bit too high-pitched at some points, but I'm working on it, thanks
Hey Garo! I’ve been loving your videos and shorts recently and I was wondering if you would ever plan on making guides like your previous one for barbarian? Thanks!
Thank you! You mean like a breakdown for other classes? Sure! I could do that. What class would you like a guide on? I've been playing lots of Bard recently, so maybe I'd do that next
@@GaroShadowscaleBold even though it’s amidst pretty hard nerfs a rogue guide would be cool, no one else has your ability to explain concepts imo. But I’ll definitely watch a bard guide if you do it!!
tip for new guys, because of the way ice caverns works people(ime) are friendly pretty often in there, the last two seasons solo goblin caves is a free for all bloodbath, no man is safe in the caves
Haha yuuuup! Wizards are MUCH more common with the Wizard buff. But the good news is, Barbarian is a great class to handle wizards. Just consider iron will over berzerker and maybe bring a shield to help you gap close while blocking that you can unequip/reequip as needed
Their words, not mine, haha. It's why at one point they completely disabled the AP gain from treasures, but thankfully they reversed that. Be prepared for the AP system to change soon, probably next wipe
36000 more? I don't understand. It takes 36000 net adventure points to reach demigod in the first place. Anything beyond that, whether at 72000 points or beyond is just to climb the leaderboards. Once you hit demigod rank, as long as you don't derank, you're guaranteed all the rewards next wipe
It's hard to say. BiS gear will improve your odds of winning, sure, but if you misplay enough, no amount of gear will save you. So I prefer to build budget kits that hit that sweet spot of high value without breaking the bank too much. I think it will depend on how comfortable you are with PvE and PvP in HR as well as how much gold you have
Yeah I spent a lot of time testing and frankly I just can't behind the zweihander. It's supposedly the new meta for barbarians, but idk. The bardiche was nerfed, sure, but I still prefer it
So you've played barbarian most. I'm not entirely sure if this is true, but I feel like meta gear like a lot of frostlight stuff and plate for PDR fighter is only on fighter, but my overarching question is about your perspective on the differences between fighter and barbarian for this kind of grind. For PVPing, mob killing especially, and overall ease of use, what's your take on the differences from barbarian to fighter? But honestly this video makes me want to try barb
So for me personally, I hate being outrun and I hate having doors closed in my face. What I like about barbarian is you can build tankiness through large health pool rather than PDR. It's not as effective, but it's good enough to close the gap in most cases as long as you play well enough. Plus potion chugger can help you quickly recover from your mistakes. And of course you have crush to quickly break down doors when chasing, making it harder for classes to kite you! And since you don't need armor for tankiness, it allows you to have high mobility to catch up to pretty much anyone, especially with the rage skill. However, yes, the irony is that our greatest counter is probably pdr, especially on fighter with the recent changes. Their ranged damage is high now, and they take so little damage from our attacks. If you don't mind the doors problem or being outrun by faster classes and aren't too worried about fighter being nerfed, it may be the better choice now. But me personally, I'll stick with barbarian because it suits me more. I'll just have to start adding armor pen to my builds
@@GaroShadowscaleBold Makes sense. Yeah PDR fighter is pretty crazy, bonking heads with barb, though, is too. Thanks for the detailed explanation! And as far as strictly PVE goes, what would you say about fighters capabilities compared to barb? I feel like both are relatively the same. Just have to know the mobs and whack them in the right way. Also warlord guide when? We've already got spooky spellcaster and haunted tablecloth, we need glowing sword enthusiast guide.
@@spoinker_ Depends on the weapon of choice ofc, but longsword fighter can shred mobs just fine, plus fighters can take the weapon mastery perk to use bardiche just as well if not even better than barb. So I'd imagine fighters can mob clear just fine. You'll just be slower than barbs in general movement-wise because you'll probably be wearing plate, and you won't be able to break doors or guards as effectively since you won't have crush
Well, the devil's in the details. I'd need to know the specifics. Are you following the strategy of this video when it comes to looting? Are you clearing efficiently enough to where you have enough time to check multiple rooms? Have you been bringing lockpicks and opening lion's heads, golden chests? There's a lot to it, but unless you're a wizard (because PvE clear is kinda miserable on wizard), you should be able to get lots of AP
Players in this game are, generally speaking, f***ing terrible, play like scared rats and just wait for somebody to tell them the path of least resistance. It’s why any time a class is “busted” a bunch of players flock over.
Thanks for the information! How long does a season last and how far through this one are we? I only just got back into dark and darker since it can back to steam and I’m hurting that I missed the frozen torch :/
Hmm, good question! We don't know when the next wipe is coming, however the final quests were added last week, so I'd estimate within a month we'll have our next wipe. I don't remember how long the previous seasons were, sorry. Maybe another commentor can share that info. I think they were about 3 months long
I'm pretty sure if you lose demigod you won't get the reward, so if you want peace of mind that you've secured it, don't play Hr solos ever again on the character you got demigod with. You can safely use a different character or do duos/trios on that same character to keep your demigod rank risk-free
Yes! But there's a bit more to it as well. Gear gives AP based off the rarity per slot, yes. The exact AP you get from gear is equal to how much the gear would vendor for. For Treasure, you get AP from 2 sources. The first is what you said, AP based on the rarity of the whole treasure. So if I'm understanding the wiki correctly, a green scroll would give the same amount of this AP as a green bangle. BUT There is also the second source of treasure AP which is much more significant. And that's the treasure AP being equal to its vendor sale value. I will say though... crunching the numbers with this in mind, maybe my statement about treasures being +1 rarity more valuable than gear was incorrect. I could have sworn the gap favored treasure. Treasures are definitely better than gear at the same rarity, but maybe not to the extent of a 1 rarity gap of additional advantage. EDIT: Nevermind, I was getting confused by the wiki table listing items that are exceptions. The +1 rarity more valuable than gear rule still holds EDIT2: Looking into it more, for single slot green treasures, they're actually better for AP than purple gear! And single slot blue treasures are better than legendary gear! Wow, it's actually a +2 rarity gap when it comes to AP for single slot treasures, even if you stacked the least valuable ones, gold bands. Even the worst multi-slot treasure (scroll) still maintains the +1 rarity gap but it won't be +2 rarity better
Aww dang. Apparently the ranger bow shotgun move got popular ever since that was buffed so idk maybe that would help a bit? I don't know honestly, I haven't played much Ranger or Wizard. Best of luck though
I haven't played a lot of either class sadly, but I know Fighter recently got big buffs and warlock recently got heavy nerfs. But Warlock is apparently still strong despite the nerfs
My ingame stats say 84 games for this season and the previous season combined. I didn't keep track of exactly how many games it took this season but I'd estimate 30-40
@@GaroShadowscaleBold God damnnnnnn. Would love to see a full round/thought out. Trying to learn barb after being a ranger main and boy, I'm getting touched by everything and everyone in the dungeon.
I do have my last two Exemplar 1 matches fully recorded, one of which I think had that 2500 AP gain before entry fee costs, but I figured I should probably stick to highly edited vids for this channel. Though if it does better, I could stream here more and make a playlist of unlisted past LIVEs showcasing how I rank up!
@@GaroShadowscaleBold You do you brother! I've had people ask me when live for full gameplay that's unedited so they can see a highscore run and how it actually looks from start to finish. I play a ranger so a barb's view on pulling/looting would absolute be worth the watch
Jewelry gets the multiplier per slot as well plus each slot is worth more. On top of that, jewelry gets a flat AP addition just based off its rarity, and while THAT component isn't multiplied per slot, it's a small addition
In old tomb the stone tombs at the side of the room break all the AI but the archers. They just stop attacking you, so the champ will stand still and take it. This has been your PSA from the solo wizards of the dungeon. :>
Thank you so much! I honestly don't do anything special. I just have ingame brightness maxxed and run the game on max settings iirc. Maybe my editor did something in post for the video if there's still something different?
What a wonderful video! Precise and straight to the point. I'm going to use this to practise and 🧈to master it. Thank you, Best Best Cutie! And Gaysie garoUWU 😘💗👌🏽🐉
No, pots aren't interactables, but they can drop great treasures, so since viking sword breaks pots in one hit and the lantern lights up the ground, it's pretty easy to quickly smash pots and check their loot on barb
Yes PDR Fighters are tough. You could try squeezing armor pen into the kit as well. But worst case scenario, this is a high mobility build and pdr fighters are slower, so you can get away and quickly recover with potion chugger as needed. But yeah try using armor pen and spacing with the range of the bardiche to help you win those engagements, or disengage and heal
