Loving these types of videos. I'm not a new player but I still have a long way to go, and seeing how you go about starting a character and maneuver through the dungeon helps me a lot. Thanks for all you do man. You're the best
Caught the barb into rogue shenanigans live that shit had me laughing my ass off. Especially at the end when he chased you to the portal across the map and you had to loop BACK to get to the static escape XD
@@Firebox720 I'm curious why keep the shadow touch on a torture mastery build instead of, say, curse mastery or dark reflection? I personally would take curse mastery and use PoS as well as it still heals you and CM keeps it longer on target so you have to re-apply it less while spamming CoPs.
warlock is by far my favorite class to play, glad to see you making a vid on it. just wanted to say I don't think anti-magic is that required to run. It is great yes but 90% of the time it's doing nothing in solos. It doesn't even work against curses from other warlocks
11:45 Yes he could've easily pushed and killed you. He was just not an experienced player. Hydra was changed very very soon after introducing the spell so you can jump over it without a problem. Also in a door frame. And since hydra needs around 2s to start doing anything, hydra will not ward you against barbs and it does take 16 HP to cast.
This is why the game currently is a disappointment to me, they added a ton of stuff and i basically have a guy telling me to play the exact same way since warlock was released, no offense to him, just a total disappointment as a pre hydra lock, why have shadow touch, demon form, demon armor, or any of the new stuff, just torture mastry mheal spam
It's just how the Meta is. Funny enough demon armor is broken AF right now since the recent patch. I'm pretty sure it's getting nerfed tomorrow or the next day.
@@Firebox720 That's disappointing, I only like it for the Barbuta Helm, being a drip gamer does that sadly, since the wizard hat just looks stupid and I prefer to not use Mheal gear and just feel really bad using a Occult Hood, wasting the stats without Torture mastery, I guess I also use it for the crusader or templar armor as well, MAYBE a dark plate, but I take what I can get, I don't really aim for the AR
@user-lm6tv5fk8v Nah if they removed Torture Mastery like they should have done after the 3rd time they tried balancing it Occultist hood would probably loose it's mheal too, or make it feel better putting the healing on a spell that actually promotes engaging with the game rather than the lame 0 risk cheese strategy it's been since release
23:15 this is why cornering is fked up. every 3 or so casts you can recast flamewalker just so he cant just CHARGE out the room while u pain him to death.
Why not take Curse Mastery over Shadow Touch? I'm not doing much melee attacking as a Warlock, and 30% longer curses seems like a great passive bonus...
I never found this very useful personally. I believe the way damage is calculated it does not increase damage like you think it would. Just takes longer to work
@@Firebox720 Good info thanks. I'm also still confused as to how knowledge works and how you're able to eventually bring the Hydra. Is it just through better base gear that you raise these stats, or do they raise with your level as well? Are you able to build a base gear setup that can use the Hydra right from the start? My first warlock is at level 19 I think, and with the best base gear I can put on, I'm still a long way from using the Hydra.
Went over 25 gs for the first time today with this build. Came across a Barb that made his way back where he came from after a Hydra and a few CoP spells. This is hella fun!
@@Firebox720 Thanks so much Firebox. Been enjoying Warlock thanks to your guide but I wonder if all fights are this long. Just makes me nervous thinking about the many points of failure over such a long time of back and forth. Sorry if it's a dumb question but which Class would you reocmmend for fun fights at low and medium gear? Also Anything that has lower fight duration or are all fights nowadays like this? It's not much but I left a sub and like as appreciation. Thanks so much for the guides.
@li-co if you want more budget kits and faster fights barb might be a decent option for you! You could also give cleric a try my new builds I've been testing out feel decent. Up to you on your playstyle.
Would you rather his entire video only tell you the one perk? He clearly says which order to take them in as you play your 5-10 games it takes to hit level 15 man.... critically think before talking shit lmao
@@thegovernor8654 Crystall Ball and Book have the same casting speed, the only difference is that the book lets you move faster, the ball lets you use a secondary weapon to apply pressure, like he said. Personally, I use longsword and book.
