Something worth mentioning is that if you waste any ability in the waiting room before the game starts, it doesn't recharge after... Learned it the hard way. So yeah, don't try usign Second Wind or Spells there.
bro just straight chillin making his way through the dungeon no problem but when i played i just hear people scampering around the map like rats and just waiting for my imminent demise
If you haven’t played in the newer season it’s alot easier to play in the normal dungeons with the new gear score system as long as it’s under 25 gear score you’ll face players similar to level and gear as you. Always keep an eye out for open doors as well, keep exits in mind and don’t be afraid to lose your gear!
@@johnmedeiros9378 the gear score thing really isn't working as intended though, i keep getting in lobbies full of higher level players wearing shit armor just to kill new players and get a whole dungeon's worth of loot as easily as possible.
@@spaceghostmiid i hear you, as someone whos been playing since early access all I can say is it’s better than it was before for sure, definitely a skill gap issue hopefully they’ll be able to address that through further matchmaking updates or maybe bring back the under 15 level lobbies
I died so many times because I did not understand this game. But this video helped me a lot to be more careful and understand the gameplay :) Amazing video!!!
Great video, I tried playing Dark and Darker 1 time a few months back, I died by a skeleton then I alt f4'd and never touched the game again lmao. I came back to try it again and this video helped me.
My game experience: -Download it -Select wizard cuz wizards are cool -die a bunch -select Fighter -join first round -IMMEDIATELY run into spiders -Get a mental crash out cuz of my arachnophobia -watch this video -boot up the game -Play a bit -am lvl 5 rn Thx so much,I didn't know about base grear ;-;
never heard of this game until like 30 mins ago - and im hooked just installed and about to play. It looks like D2 first person and im fricken here for it.
This video helped so much man. I thought you could only leave with portals but I see theres a rope. This really helped me understand the game a lot man, thanks!
Just downloaded it free to play in Epic games, got in and took a Warlock, then I proceed to get wrecked by the first npc I found for 3 matches, rage quit, here look for the tutorial lmao.
Decided to play for the first time today. Loaded up into a dungeon and got wrecked immediately by a skeleton. Next dungeon, accidently aggro'd 3 skeletons. Next game, got stuck behind some boards and swung at them not realizing you had to hit them multiple times to break them. Spent way too long looking for a way to open them. Yeah I'm doing great. Lots to learn. lol
I haven't played since the circle and portals and I just downloaded this on steam and DIED FROM THE EARTHQUAKE and was confused wtf where are the portals and the circle why am i just dying....... your vid basically helped me understand these are gone and there's different ways now.
@@dcoiyt Any tips for grouping up? We are struggling because we have to find multiple exits for all 3 of us and thus it's harder and less fun than soloing
dude this video was such a massive help to me no joke, i didn't follow it exactly but the part about changing the starting kit was huge and let me get my first successful extract by bringing a longsword and a book as a warlock, turns out having weapons i'm more comfortable with makes the game a bit easier lmao
tried playing this game with a homie for an hour last night and it was miserable. Watching this video it doesnt look so bad. Gonna give it another shot. Thanks dude
First time playing tonight. Literally my first chest opening was a mimic, I didn’t even know how to draw my sword yet 😢 good indicator of my luck in video games lol
Good content, very helpful for newer players like me. Definitely helped me get out of many raids. Is a rogue guide planned any soon ? Keep up the good content love to see straight to the point guides like this, good music too 👏
Thank you this helped a lot I will use your tips tomorrow and I didn’t know that there were maps for different team sizes I was just playing a trio one as a solo
This game is fated. The fact that it's back on steam is huge. I'm super curious about the full story. I do wish there was some better option between high roller and normals, but normals are still so fun, and I made friends already on the first day. If they work out a new mode that you can bring some loot Ill forsure purchase it.
just got the game to play free today, thank you so much for the hints ! im still getting smacked from goblins and ice skeletons, i guess that taking to much plate is making me slow till a point that i cannot dodge anymore
incredible guide! small improvement suggestion: the music is a tad loud. im here for your guide, not to listen to music. english is not my native tongue, so dimming down the music a bit makes the info more accessible. cheers!
No hate just giving some tips. As someone not super experienced but knows a little bit. For a beginners guide you should explain more on how to dodge mob attacks, how many times u can hit them before u need to run, etc. like for goblin 2 swings move back. Not to mention, u said move back a few times but never actually showed how to move back, in this game u want to look right and hold d or vice versa. But new people wouldn’t know that, hold s, and later learn they’ve been wrong. An editing tip, when explaining the timer for the rounds highlight or put a circle around the bottom right of the timer otherwise most people won’t see, trust me, and with how vague you are I would definitely suggest outlining more things.
@@dcoiyt but it seemed available and the clock still had 2-3 minutes, are fake extraction points a thing in this game? or did the stairs collapse because someone already used them? if so, is there any way to tell that someone already used them? i have so many questions. ima check if you have video about these lol
@@yay0land88 Ask all the questions bro, no problem. No fake extractions, some maps have stairs that glow blue when they open and the light turns off when its taken, some maps have no light but rocks will fall and be at the end of the tunnel if its taken.
Dark and Darker discord, check announcements channel. There will be a lot to go through, but it might help. Watch warlock streamers and ask questions too, Smolk0 is very good
Great video man this really helps a lot in fact, but I got a question is it possible if you can do a video about high roller and working your way up to high roller? maybe that would be a cool video Idea
I selected barbarian. Feel like a choose a bad class. I run around, find a bunch of loot that I can't equip. Kill a few monsters but usually die soon after. Have never successfully extracted, nor do I know how to extract. That's why I'm watching this video. Haven't watch it yet. Had to pause to leave this comment. It's a good game, because it's fun even though I'm this bad.
Hey man, thanks for this guide! I have just one question though, at 14:24 you say something about selling green items because you can't take them in normals? What exactly do you mean by that? Is it because your gear level is too high for normals if you take them?
No, it's because you used to not be able to bring any gear into normals besides white. They changed this like 2 days after my video lol. So disregard that part.
I’m pretty new but I hope they add a longer version of the maps that are only pve so I can go about my life without worrying about others bc I don’t like pvp
I just started the game, and when I go to the Squire he has nothing for me at all. And all of my skills are locked. So this guide seems to not actually be starting from the beginning.
LOL when you talk about the brightness and explain how ppl hide in the dark corners thought would probably be me, I haven't downloaded the game yet but when you said PVP I immediately thought "oh shit gonna have to hide from some sweats" bahahaha
idk i personally would not recoment ranger as a starting class, purely because i think learning the melee combat as fast as possible will be the best path to having fun in this game. i have a friend who only plays ranger and he literally has no idea how melee combat works... its frustrating to say the least
Good question. It used to be that you were only able to bring in white/gray gear in ALL normal lobbies. When the game went free to play people made negative reviews about this so they changed it so you can bring in pretty much anything into normals.
It does sound like I said "under wipe", I actually said end of wipe. It was basically the last day of the "season" when I recorded this, so doing quests was pointless at that time.
