Finally, we finished this awesome project after almost 2 years of hard work. We redid all the decor when the first preview came out, and here we are. This is probably the project I'm most proud of, and in my opinion, it has yielded excellent results. This is top 30 and gonna be verified by ‪@TheNixuzGD‬

Something for everyone that said SFX is too loud, the sfx could be deactivated or become lower in gd menu, anyway i appreciate the feedback about how sound in different parts, but is not feedback say SFX is bad, be specific to make better. #ThePurgatorySupremacy

At least, I think it sounds bad, if they were more elaborate sound effects it would be great, but Robtop's sounds have a strange quality, which doesn't go with the non-platform levels because it sounds bad along with the music (on a platform level people don't pay much attention to music, that's why it goes more unnoticed). I really feel that adding sound effects only worsens the quality of the level. I seem to remember that geometry dash vanilla does not allow you to separate the sound effects of the menu and those of the levels (I think you can with mods). Of course, a simple solution is to set the sound effects volume to 0 and that's it.

the problem isnt the sound effects itself, its that in some parts they are way louder than others. the volume imbalance is the issue and turning down your sfx volume ingame wont help that since its just gonna keep the volume imbalance

I think it's totally valid feedback to say that the SFXes in this level are used terribly. They're literally louder than the song is, and they're just loops of wind and rain that honestly ruin the atmosphere more than help it. They're overkill, and the level doesn't need them. The song already gives off a subtle "chaotic storm" feeling, and adding so many sound effects to it removes that subtlety and gives the player a headache in return.

Some weird transitions in the second half and parts in the first half could use some slight work. The sfx is the main problems, static doesn’t make since, the rain and thunder can stay but they just need to be quieter and less frequent. The level isn’t even that bad, it just can’t live in to the original which is expected. But it’s definitely had one of the most drastic improvement since that horrid first preview

this looks absolutely INSANE. i have a few small nitpicks though: the rain at 0:13 doesn't seem to fall in the same way the trail would imply. it ends up feeling slightly unnatural to me. i wish the endscreen was slightly less static. i noticed the tall structure in the middle bobbed up and down slightly, but it's not noticeable enough to be satisfying imo. these two nitpicks barely detract from the absolute masterpiece that this level is. it's incredibly atmospheric--the decoration, effects, movements, transitions, and everything has me utterly floored. good luck to nixuz for verifying, and this is another banger by the purgatory!

"You can always turn it down" is not an excuse for bad sound design If they really want to make the level better, they should remove the sound effects entirely. GD levels are supposed to capture the atmosphere/feel of the song, having sound effects completely throws off any connection those two have. If they *really* want to keep the sound effects, very mild wind is more than enough to get the point across, but I would still prefer the removal of them entirely. If the song were different, maybe quieter, and more atmospheric without any complex rhythms, sound effects could have worked but in this case, it's like having a youtuber commentate over a song with lyrics. It's jarring, it's not pleasant, and it's hard to understand

I think the only part the sfx actually adds to the atmosphere is the ending and the predrop, in other parts it just feels like it's interrupting the song. I mean the start of the drop is not all that bad but the duals are just so much worse with sfx and I don't know why, it just doesn't feel right. Edit: Oh and the level looks awesome + it's an awesome remake.

I personally don’t really see it as soulless, I see it more as an expansion on Krmals creativity and effects. I think the sound effects and the drop of the level are genuinely great additions to really emphasize the intensity of the original.

I do think this is good, but there are some things i wanna note. - The small cube sections before the drop should also have the indicators you see in Black Blizzard - It might be my hardware, but the sections after the dual drop and before the final section are extremely messy and would probably help if it was more visible. The SFX are a great touch, but i can agree they are far too loud. The pre dop especially suffers from this. That's all i gotta say, i think this is a well constructed inspiration of Black Blizzard.

It’s not hurting black blizzard bc it’s just a worse version of it. The added sound effects and the abundance of deco just doesn’t match what makes the original so memorable. Black blizzard had a really good atmosphere without needing anything else and the simplicity of its decoration made it feel more dark and intimidating. The deco is cool here I suppose but it seems so without purpose. Just make something new…

This is pretty cool honestly and its great for yall that 2 years of work is finally finished, but the sfx is just way too much that it lacks contrast with the song. I think it needs to be toned down a lot and remove some sfx at some parts, I dont think adding sfx every second of the level is necessary. Like the last part of the level where the song and the level is calming down but its just clashed with a bunch of sfx that has a more intensive tone like from the crunchy hail noises. I think either having it with no sfx or like muffled wind ambience that is way in the back should be already enough because this part is where everything suddenly calms down and its pretty impactful since it contrasts with most of the level being intense.

great level and all but i dont understand the idea behind remaking this level, black blizzard may be a dated level but i feel like it sits better that way than an overglowed remake. in my opinion this a prime example of "less is more" and i think black blizzard will end up being more memorable than this, as this kinda feels like an apteam/cherryteam project that everyone can enjoy but in the grand scheme of things it doesnt end up being anything special. Not shitting on the level or anything, but just giving my thoughts.

This lvl had a truly remarkable redemption arc. From looking a pretty unnecesary remake to becoming a lvl with his own charm. The Purgatory is releasing true bangera lately!

I do feel you should consider making the sfx more subtle. Have them build to the atmosphere instead of having them be so loud it almost takes away from it because it feel forced. Other than that great freaking work man 😏👍🏽

Love it! Although I understand the SFX can be turned down to be quieter, my problem with it is the sheer amount of them. Sound effects are like a spice, and should be used in moderation. There is literally no point in the showcase where the song is by itself. I'd suggest the SFX to be removed during the title card before the drop, and the credits sequence. Otherwise, this is a wonderful level! Can't wait to see it verified :)

Me gusta bastante, a pesar de ser un nivel de lista es de las cosas más bellas en cuanto a colores efectos y decoración, transmite esa vibra de constante tormenta y brisas fuertes y el Gameplay esta pulido y bien hecho. Otro buen trabajo de ThePurgatory
