You tried, and it looks ok, but I once made a 3x3 dirt hut with a cobble roof. I could have done a super high quality time lapse, but the build was too complex for RU-vid.

Fantastic! Clearly you guys are really talented to put stuff like this together, I'm currently playing Dark Souls, thinking to myself how much inspired design adds! So when I see a group do inspired design on an epic scale - well it makes me smile :)

How do you even begin with a project of this scale?

I'm trying to imagine the coordination required to make this timelapse, and I'm almost thinking it would be easier to just make it in a separate 3d program.

this is so much work, and so little pride. this is the best timelapse i have ever seen and the editing is very good too. you should have taken more credit, and if i could give more than one like it would be an upright 100.000. you deserve to get more attention. keep it up.

Holy shit... I can't believe this video doesn't have at the very least a few million views... Very impressive !!! Also, I'm familiar with the concept of moving time-lapse, and I get that the camera have to move very very very slowly to be at the right speed once the footage is sped up, but how do you time it ?! How do you know beforehand exactly the right speed at which the construction is gonna progress ??
