So the reason why was mostly due to it originally aired in Canada, then cartoon network took it up to air in the US. But due to the rules of television being different for both countries and the audience it was going to be presented on. They had to change up lines and censor some jokes or cut them entirely from the original that you can watch on streaming services now.

To Be Precise. Total Drama Island was shown in two different versions when it aired. In the U.S. it was the Censored Version, while in Canada and others it was the Uncensored Version. I don't recall but Adult Swim probably did feature the Uncensored Version.

To be fair, it took me years to pick up on that Spongebob hair one. Also, wow, that TDI joke was way different in the original Canadian version. In that one, he actually sees Heather's exposed chest after her top is ripped off during the sporting event, which causes him to lose focus. Total Drama was on Cartoon Network, but it was originally on FreshTV because TD originated from Canada before being bought by CN. Total Drama also wasn’t really meant for kids but for teens until later seasons. Anyway, great video!

One thing to mention with many television shows made in Canada is, we don’t have as much restrictions as America does on Jokes for kid’s cartoons/shows in general. A lot of stuff is edited for the American Versions.
