Most color mutations have different colors depending on their gender (exept for the pure white ones.) i use a chart that i found on Google images. Searcy for "button quail mutations"

Lea Schmitt It's alright, this comment is old. I only have 3 quails now. Gave three males to a friend, one female died from laying so many eggs and because of that the male partner died from stress.

I have 3 females and funny enough but They havent layn an egg yet. Although they're already About 6 months old

Lea Schmitt Oh wow, thats surprising. I've been told they only lay eggs at a certain time of the year, I had two which laid about 10 eggs last year which they never incubated. So they just went to waste, this year I had bought a small incubator for them which I think I set the temperature a little high on (37,5). Only one hatched but it passed a couple days later after having issues with it's feet. Could it be what you're feeding them? I often give them wild bird seeds the most

The probleem with button quail chicks is that they're so tiny. The temperature has to be exactly right in the place were They stay for About one week after hatching. The food that you give is probably a bit too big for chicks so maybe you Should start them on the stuff that you can but for chicks from chickens. Its much thinner than wild bird feed. Otherwise you can just put the feed you use now in a food processor. The problem with the feet of your chick Could be caused by a bad surface to stand on. In the first few days its best to use a piece of cloth or something similar and after that you can put them on pine shavings. IT is also very important that their feet don't get wet in their water becouse again, They can get Could very fast. Anyways, i hope that this helpen you !
