Man, I love you. You have given me the motivation I needed to renovate my house. I've been living here since 2015 (Puerto Rico) , and then Hurricane Maria came and I lost everything. I have been depressed for years and finally I am getting the motivation/ inspiration I needed. I definitely want a farmhouse style which it is not common here and I am excited to start in 2022.
I'm excited and extremely Happy for you. I'm so sorry you lost everything. It's so sad what happened to a lot of people PR. My Brother lives there and he lost the house that his Grandmother left him, but fortunately with God's help, our Family and Friends, we were able to put some money together and help him re-build. I feel really bad because I’m a LONG time watcher and I think this is my first time commenting and it’s not the most positive thing - make sure to run a bead of silicone around your sink where it Mets the counter top otherwise water will get in the edge grain and warp your beautiful new counter tops!! Looks fantastic though you’ve put so much love into it!!
We painted our kitchen cupboards last year. We were quoted £17,000 to replace kitchen and utility room cupboards. We painted (paid someone to paint), changed out dated 80's tile to bevelled subway tile, painted, new cupboard hardware and put up coving for less than £1,600. Our old cupboards were shaker style which we were still looking at. We are so pleased with it. I love you butcher block and what we call Belfast sink the best. We went lighter cupboards.

My only complaint was the disappointment when the video ended. I wanted to hang out in that kitchen for awhile. I love that your FarmHouse kitchen isn't stark white, and buffalo check, like the majority of the images I see. The fun pops of color, mix of metals, and texture is...... *chef's kiss*

As usual, I’m enjoying this so much. Great decision to make that corner into a nice round swoop. I love this kitchen! I get the feeling that Geoff has a nice dry sense of humor which complements your more ebullient sense of humor.
I really appreciate Jeff. He accepts her DIY and her kookiness. He is agreeable to be her handyman. He lives with the DIY. Does he have an an area for himself? She has a studio, a she shed/carpentry space, an inside craft room, the office and the whole house.

Oh my gosh it’s GORGEOUS!!!! For me I think the biggest thing was actually the simple thing of painting the edge of the tile countertop in the back. It makes that countertop look like it *belongs* in the kitchen, adding some lightness and texture to an otherwise gorgeously moody and sleek kitchen. But it seriously came together and it’s such an incredible transformation I can’t BELIEVE it’s the same kitchen!!! It looks a million times better

Absolutely love the finish product. The colour of the cabinets looks blueish on camera but I think it's beautiful! My favourite is the island (butcher's block and sink) and, as always, the editing was hilarious 😂

I cannot even tell you how relatable your show was today.. I have been sanding and staining a dining room table for really close friend of mine.. Now I've done this before for my furniture but never for anyone else notes and the stress of the poly is enormous.. I'm not an expert I wasn't sure but everything I read said go with an oil based polyurethane so you don't get watermarks on it. The stained table has been sitting on work horses in my spare room for over a week . I finally went in after watching and put the poly on the table.. Thanks for being an inspiration..love your courage and style!!

And I just every room turns out beyond beautiful extremely well executed and designed and decorated, but for me it was always the hands-on I didn't stand back and let the hired workers do the job I was always in there tearing things apart pulling it down redoing it refinishing it hands-on all the way 💯 And you have just shown that kind of strength, ability to learn even when you make mistakes or it's not easy you've shown everybody that you can do it and that they can do it and I think that is absolutely amazing 💝 You are truly a gift to everybody young older and everything in between and your personality is just something that I enjoy coming back for over and over again 😍❣️❣️❣️❣️ I love the fact that you are beautiful inside and out, that you show your fun nerdy as a compliment... I love that you always show the truth of DYI - it doesn’t always come out the way you want it to be the first try but if you hang in there and adjust your plan, you can still end up with something beautiful. I also really appreciate that you share your goofy moments because, fir me, random dancing is relatable.

My favorite part was you waiting for Jeff to disassemble! Couldn't have been easy for you. True love. The butcher block is beautiful. Love the stools in the copper look and with the stain. As a mom, I would round all the corners of the island because little heads will run into them and need stitches and hips of adults will bump them too and they hurt. Love your use of red and blue and color in general. Love the stains you chose. They really are rich and warm. Enjoy the new kitchen!!!
